Anything better or the same for less?
I've been told to pad my walls with foam but don't wanna do that I own 3 microphones;
Blue snowball
Samson c01u
Rode Podcaster
They all can pick up my computer fans and my parents talking I've tried lower the gain but then that requires me to talk so loud that people outside my house can hear me.
So any advice?
I want something for future podcasting but right now I use it for YouTube videos.
I normally use audacity but that program makes my audio sound like it's over compressed or that i'm in a fishbowl i'd like to have broadcast quality as possible.
Try getting a dynamic microphone like a Shure SM58 and an interface, I suggest an ART Tube interface. That should help cancel out a lot of background noise.
As far as Audacity making your recordings sound over-compressed, that doesn't really sound like a problem with Audacity so much as you have the wrong microphone selected. Check on that.

SM7B is as good as it gets for the price.
Literally try the foam. If you don't wanna nail it to the wall get a big wooden board and do it to that. Put board infront of place that you record. Also get a fan that is bigger and quieter for your computer.
why are you paying 40 for 3 feet of dumb cable.

Because he's a parasite single who can afford to spend his parents' money like that.
