So I decided to watch Deathnote this week because almost everyone else had already watched it, and I never gave it a chance. I was actually surprised at how much I enjoyed it, it wasn't anywhere near as edgy as I though it would be and up until they introduced Near I though the plot was actually a really well done and interesting crime drama. That being said, I was REALLY dissapointed with the ending. With all of the dramatic build up, I feel pretty let down the last showdown was so simple and absurd. Does anyone know of any series that's similar to the muder-mystery plot of Deathnote, one that's maybe a bit more well written? I really didn't know I was into that until now.
I hated both Light and Near, the only reason I stuck around to the end was to watch him get his ass handed to him.
Watch Psycho-Pass, now that's real gripping crime drama.
