This is the first rice I've put a decent amount of time into. I know its /weeb/ but I didn't get any criticism or ratings on /w/.
The fade animation for the images was somewhat of a placeholder, but now that I'm somewhat done I'm not positive if I'd like anything more than a plain fade, so I might just clean them up a little.
What else could I do better?

You know how KLWP has the calculator thingy for advanced functions? You might be able to do something like `file:///sdcard/Downloads/$tu(seq, 15, 1, 20)$.txt`, where it cycles through a bunch of .txts with quotes. Not sure about the exact file format but that's one thing you could do.

Another possibility is having your own RSS feed and cycling through that in KLWP.

I've put your setup in the header and on the website before so it's good stuff :) Only thing I would think about switching is the wall because I see it very frequently. But the colors work really well so there's no reason to, unless you want to try out new combos.

Is the font actually that hard to see? I'm not having any troubles and I've been using this setup for a couple days now. Personally, I like the size and placement. Tried bolding, didn't like the outcome.

It's Serif. Has a bit of a Times New Roman feel to me, which I personally find appealing.

It can't be seen at a glance, look at the center of the image, your peripheral vision makes it clear that there is something above the face, but you can't see that there is also something below it, you only notice the words when you actually move your eyes to that areal.

In terms of real usability it doesn't matter, at all, you are not going to ever have problems with it because you don't actually even read the tags, you just know what each area does, but aesthetically it's a weird effect since you get one impression on the first glance then "find something more"

The issue here is that (I assume) you want to keep the simple look and not draw attention towards the menu which is down there, I can't think of anything besides making it a menu distinctly separated from the rest of the composition since anything you do to the words to make them stand out more is going to bring attention to them.

Okay, thought: I'd have to move it down pretty far to prevent any overlapping because the visualizer goes too high. I could, however, move the visualizer to the very bottom and push it underneath the menu bar as kind of a background piece.

Second thought is that I actually have two visualizers there. They're both the same just one is mirrored, flipped, and set side by side. I could split them up and have one on the left, one on the right.

Thoughts there? Open to moving the visualizers to other places as well.

You should install it, that notification bar doesn't help.
But that wasn't my main concern, it was how the icons/widgets didn't fit the same style. Tell me honestly: Do you think that the pcradio icon and the phone icon not being from the same icon pack doesn't matter? Or that the google widget looks well next to the clock widget? Or that they're the same style as the bbm icon?

No they don't fit natively. However I didn't have the blue icons for everything. Also thanks to not using a launcher and wanting to keep the search bar I had white as a valid color I had to deal with. Plus unifying that and the orange let me keep the clock like that. It's not the best and not perfect and I accept that but atm it was what I had. Do you have any reccomendatioms for a launcher which could give me a similar but better executed effect?

Change the clock's orange to a blue close to the holo icons, isolate the radio icon really close to the clock, install nova, change the google widget to something more fitting and remove notification bar.
It'll take 20 mins. tops, unless you're retarded then it'll take 'bout tree fiddy.

I don't use KLWP or Ricing, but I've created some using Zooper Widget. I've tried using KLWP and I was considering switching to it because it looks like it might have some more overall functionality.

In any case I've thrown 3 that I created into a pic then added a 1pixel black border to the screenshots to each so that it looked a little cleaner.

All of the screen info is configured to bring up the appropriate app when touched - such as dialer, sms app, alarm clock when time is tapped, etc. Then I double tap to pull up the app dock from the bottom. I used to use nova launcher, now I use Lightning Launcher since it gives a lot more freedom.

There isn't an option for it in the default launcher, sadly. Look into Nova Launcher.

I personally like Apex Launcher better, but it doesn't jive as well with KLWP as Apex does.

I used a text variable. Touching each word sets the variable to an arbitrary value. I have mine set to 1-4.
Submenus react on a formula when text variable hits a certain value to fade in instantly and then drop from underneath the mask behind the previous menu.
There's a good tutorial on youtube that I followed if you need help with the coding.

You're probably new to this an I have some spare time so I'll compile a small step by step guide

1. Download KWGT, place a widget of any size on your homescreen (you can resize it later)
2. Tap on the widget, and press new in the top right
3. Press add in the top right, add a text element
4. On the bottom of your screen you should see the text item, press it to configure it
5. Under the paint tab you can select a color (transparency is allowed), when you're done press the save button in the top right
6. Optional but reccomended, inside the text tab change the size and the font
7. Optional, on the top left click the folder icon, then scroll all the way to the left inside the bottom part of your screen to find a touch tab, click on the default touch action, then go to action and select launch app, now choose an app that you want to open when you touch the widget.
8. Press save in the top right
