It's called scaling. 1080p panel, but scaled up to 150% so you don't need a magnifying glass. OSX does the same thing with their 'retina' display nonsense.

im not too sure what i think of these colors either, too much brown going on, but i find it hard to settle on a wallpaper. its a shame almost all neon papers are blue/pink/purple cos its my favorite theme no doubt, but those colors get boring too.

You're in luck, I was just passing through this thread as you posted this.

Anyway, it's all Rainmeter with Honeycomb, Cornerclock and Monster Cat visualizer. Everything else was done with Classic Shell.

I tried rainmeter once way back when, but it was a confusing to say the least and all I had was the basic intro shit widgets that displayed ram & cpu crap that just takes up space.

Did you have to go through html/css design in order to get those widgets to look like how you wanted it to? I've seen the themes on rainmeter, customize, and userstyles, but the screens posted here look way different (considering they have anime pictures) which most likely points to something being added in if I'm thinking about this the right way.
