Wake up, anon.
There's obviously fucking life out there, but the fact that you bought a poster that has a stupid looking saucer on it, and has text that would make any normie believe you're a conspiracy fag, makes me fucking cringe
I have pics of my cas in and out if you want them
At first, with the pink Floyd poster, i was like, "well that's not too bad, i'm sure his setup will be okay."
Then i saw the Gorillaz backgrounds, and i knew your entire setup was gonna be cringey as hell
Not the best photographer in the world, but here's my shit.
Nice desk, wasted by a stupid clsuter of items that scream, 20 year old who has no idea what to do with his money
Frame some photos of your family, your college class too, put it on top
add another monitor to the same level as the current
>20 year old who has no idea what to do with his money
Trips of truth. You're pretty spot on, luckily most of that is stuff from my teen years. Only think I'd probably end up keeping on there is my godfather collection. Le cinema etc etc.
Ignore the cheap mouse and keyboard. I would've gotten 2 of the monitors but my desk is too small and I don't want to put my computer on the carpet.
My current setup, not that great but its quite pleasing.
Windows 10 Home
64-bit Intel Core i7-4500U CPU @ 2.40GHz
NVIDIA GeForce GT 745M
Realtek HD & ASIO4ALL
Adderall & caffeine
G80-7T and D-10 rocket engines
Ledgers, notebooks, blueprints, etc.
>mfw I have amazing huge battlestation pics from electronics labs at work but cant post cuz top secret n shit.
Best Mousepad I've ever owned. I thought I would stick with the hard top forever, but as soon as I got a steel series and paired it with my Proteus, holy shit best mouse and pad ever.
Also forgot to include back, so proud of cable management senpai.
My battlestation is pretty boner to be honest.
I like it but I would absolutel never fucking do anything like it because it's so embarassing to have family members/friends walk into a room with all the anime stuff, stickers on the case I swear look worse over time.
I like the wp/reset of the setup though, those things could easily be hidden and look nice that are there (keychains, mousepad)
The fourth monitor seems rather redundant in most cases unless you use eyefinity or something similar especially when you have two tablets and 2 phones easily accessible to see those things on unless you strongly prefer the monitor for some reason.
That desk looks pretty nice for a stock desk though, and with so many monitors it feels odd that you're not using one to display relevant information with rainmeter or alternative on that fourth screen or one of the three.
Looks almost as cluttered as my desk generally feels, you could prboably move your case to the bottom there and lay the extension cord behind or on top of it, those walls don't look mount friendly at all sadly and the desk isn't amazing I had one previously, but just moving your case down and spreading (or getting rid of optimally) that clutter would be a good idea. It also would free up space you could dedicate to your controllers/games if you don't have somewhere better for the games.
Damn nice cable handling on such a desk.
What are you using to hold up the headset, command hooks?
steelseries are best mousepads I swear, although I have one of the huge ones. The glare from that light inside the case seems like it would be annoying when taking photos like this one, but overall love the setup.
Simple and nice, very roomy desk too. Do you remember where you got the desk? I'm in the market for something similar and so far it looks like I'll have to do Ikea hacking.
Not an aesthetic I enjoy but it looks good, leg room likes like it would be an issue.
>Period blood as a joke or not on the wall
Why do you live
I'm going to assume you're 13-15 and will learn soon.
Pretty good book choice though.
Based on some of those game posters you should be much older
I actually use these long nails that are painted the same color as the wall. I don't like using hooks or anything since I don't like seeing it empty, so I went with something smaller. The white cathode causing the glare is turned off if I'm playing in the dark, I have a light sensor on the back of the case but I have it turned on for the pic lol. Thanks for the compliment, I do it for you ;)
Yeah, I was also debating getting a coat hanger, paint it black, bend one end and then wrap the other two ends around screw heads and actually hanging my headphones underneath desk, but I didn't like the chord on the ground
Here's mine. Thinking about getting a LED strip or someting to light it up a bit.
Specs here: https://pcpartpicker.com/b/vPWXsY
And yes, that is an old ass keyboard. IBM Model M, from 1996. Loud and proud... and also gigantic.
That looks like it would be annoying to look at the dust accumulate on it, but I like it overall.
Desktop could probably use some work though, seems you haven't done much except add in some specs so far
Definitely looks like it would benefit from a led strip, nice looking table for it.
tfw setting up spotify and rainmeter is a bitch
Amazing how often I get that as a comment. I do not get dust buildup... why? Because I can see it start and remove it. Unlike someone with a tower, who opens that sucker up and has a cardigan sweater clogging their air intakes.
Starting to make some music. Small production setup.
I'm not sorry about my keyboard choice. I've heard it all.
pretty good, but my only gripes are
>WYWH poster cringey as fuck
>audio system under desk too close to chair
>guitar placement is a bit iffy
>bookshelf a bit too close to chair
other than that, you're pretty good
Garbage lighting. Own fault for taking picture at dusk.
No worries, anon. My lighting is also garbage. So's my camera. I should probably NOT use the default camera app, that'd probably help.
Got the desk frrom an office building that was closing down for $100. It's a bitch to move.
my new custom 8ft white glossy desk is currently being built, should improve my setup greatly.
i like the lighting
this is calming to look at
both pretty decent
a tiny bit cluttered imo, but I really love the keyboard and monitors/wallpaper.
meh my friend
clean, obligatory keyboard comment
meh pretty average
you seem very elitist but nonetheless cool
Just cleaned today. (For once, so it doesn't always look like this)
Nice and simplistic. I have the same keyboard.
At least you didn't clean before posting.
Nah man, hang on to that stuff. It'll be like a time machine later.
Love the all white, but are the headphones hard to clean?
Wtf do you do?
For God's sake man, clean your intakes.
Pretty basic. Dorm?
the headphones are honestly fine, the earcups/headband are a light grey color so don't really show dirt, and other than that i don't really touch any part of them. I've had them for 3 years and never had to really clean them, and they still look nice.
I worked a few days in a very similar office to that one, the stuff is blurred but I wouldn't be surprised if it's finances, where I worked temporarily (as help since I do tech support but a relative wanted help as long as I had experience in spreadsheets which I do) was hedgefund managing.
If you're seriously saying that any MOBA or MMO needs more apm and will get it by using that, you're insane.
Name 1 team that uses those over a standard KB+M on the moba scene competitively.
This isn't a win conditional or some stupid shit, I'm just curious as I've never heard of one in all my time playing/watching LoL, DoTA2, Dawngate, HotS, Strife, Smite, and other such mobas. I've played MMOs since 2002, same deal. I tried it for such and it wasn't really much better, using good hotkeys and programs like AHK well absolutely shits on those.
you need to stop bitching anon
i find this more comfortable than a keyboard for mmo's because the button placement is better for doing stuff very very quickly.
not to mention it supports your hand very well so if you are playing for a long time its a lot more comfortable. id recommend it.
that enough evidence for you? or are you about to tell me my opinions are wrong and back in your day you couldn't even afford a mechanical keyboard so that's what everyone else should do too
I play MMOs with a http://www.thrustmaster.com/products/dual-trigger-3-1-rumble-force
It doesn't make it good.
That's still anecdotal evidence, again, I own 2. I don't need you to tell me the merits of having one, the demerits however are the keys available, and if you have any sort of respectable APM it's not changing much at all and requires you to get used to something new.
>the demerits however are the keys available
plenty of buttons on it with alt/shift/ctrl mods especially if you pair it with a mouse with 12 side buttons
its just a lot more comfortable and easy to use if you get used to it.
played with a normal keyboard for fucking ages and when i decided to try this it was instantly better
my apm will probably be great no matter what i use but why would i use something less comfortable?
Yes, and there are more on a keyboard.
You can use whatever you want, if it works for you that is fine, but anecdotal evidence justifying
>then those people most not play any mmo/moba games competitively enough to need more apm
you are wrong.
well this is kinda specifically for games like that with a lot of buttons
nobody would use one just for fps
its a lot less awkward to press keys on therefor it makes you faster
and if you are already fast enough then its just more comfortable
>you are wrong
oh man this shit's really getting serious
tell you what. take your special debating fedora off and we can just talk about this like adults.
It was a continuation of the fucking sentence, formatting error, god damn.
My point is that your anecdotal evidence is not enough to support your claim. Those genre of games don't benefit from such a device either. Especially games that use a L O T of keys, since you don't get a bonus modifier key but just the standard 3 already available on the keyboard.
If you mentioned frogpads you might be at least on the start of something
Orbweaver 20x8 + 8=168 total key choices
If dpad is mod this decreases and at least 60 of those become out of range.
Meanwhile on a keyboard modifiers and keys reachable with one hand are easily 200
25*8, not counting the Win key mod.
Now in games that exceed this or where Ctrl-Shift-Alt is too much of a pain and you need SPEED, being able to reach another 25 keys (modifier also holdable is questionable) makes the choice obvious.
Is the orbweaver comfortable? Yes.
Is it ideal or in anyway increases your APM on average? No.
I used to be really messy, then one day I felt really ashamed at living in a dump in my mid twenties.
Over two years I had a series of purges getting rid of all my vidya, anime and manga shit. Now I literally owe nothing.
Now I spend two hours minimum a day doing housework.
Mid specs by the look of the 970 box in the photo.
Shitty quality photo of mine but at least I got the serious specs.
not who you were referencing but I recently ordered a blue light for my room (because of this thread actually) and I do game with it on, it's right in my vision, above my computer screen. Doesn't bother me at all, takes getting used to though.
New home made desk, made from Centaurus granite. Rest of the room is pretty empty right now though.
Rate/suggestions? I eventually want to get a darker colored desk and a second screen. Just moved into a new flat for college so it's pretty bare at the moment.
Nice desk, looks like it can take a beating too.
Nice case, why do you have a mitten in your room?
Sideways monitor, sideways mousepad, nice.
The map on your desktop is sweet
Nice try doggo
What headset stand do you use?
Also a trackpad huh
Newly getting into DSLR photography, been doing it for a few years now.
Any tips on capturing both the room and nice crisp screens? i just can't get the exposure right. is it HDR? photoshopped? any help, thanks!
I'm still setting it up, so forgive my poor cable management.
Cool man! gotta start somewhere.
1/5 My combined home studio, normally two of us working simultaneously. Most of the equipment is usually stored in the walk-in wardrobe. Set up for display purposes in the picture.
heres my station. im trying to make it more cozy. i know i need a new chair (not pictured). thinking about adding some plants. I am kinda sick of having a glass tabletop too.
Cable management can be forgiven, that much razer ™ on one desktop cannot be forgiven.
It's clear you're not a fanboy because of the keyboard and headset at least (theirs are pretty trash), but the papes, hot damn man.
Fucking top tier, could probably have something cooler than TW1TCH as there in the middle unless that happens to be a handle you used prior to twitch.tv
Should probably do some cleaning, I'd hate to walk into that room
Damn that's clean, did you attach something to your speakers to hold your headset or did it come like that?
Well everything is in reach
Not him but it's pretty dirty bro... and there's kinda just shit everywhere. Unorganized and cluttered. No mousepad, the desk is all stained, etc. I mean it's fine but he did ask us to rate it so he obviously wants us to look at it critically and give our opinions.
There's two of them. The one in the first picture is my little familiar.
>Built desk myself
>It's a 12 core
>Just got that SSD on the weekends, installing the rack rail in >the three "bays" this upcoming weekend.
I Know for some reason it will be upside down...
I've been making small changes to my station lately. I like the way my shit's been coming together, honestly. The TV was added like two weeks ago. Feels good man.
Thanks, its just a small stick on hook, and the headphones just kinda rest on top of it. Bought it in a 4pack at the dollar store, use them to manage all my cables.
idk how you guys handle such bright desktops with such dark rooms.
How my battlestation has always looked, TV and consoles are on the right, ignore potato quality.
These look pretty comfy.
If it wasn't for the furry this would get a 10/10, that mousepad is pretty great.
Nice mouse and keyboard :^)
I would get shit on so hard if you people seen my desk.
Everything I have connected to an outlet is jerry-rigged and modified.
I just spent the last 5 hours assembling a homebrew parabolic dish WiFi antenna out of flashing and copper coated welding rods.
I was just testing out the difference in connection speeds from a 1/4 mile away when I showed up in this thread.
Now I have a huge mess to clean up from all the soldering, metal shavings, wire clippings, aluminum tape backing, etc.
I saved at least $65 putting it together myself.
A hand-built rig in a cheap case, with a big loud ass 120V case fan pulling air through an automotive air filter.
A home surround sound setup with the rear speakers mounted on the back of a recliner for a desk chair.
It ain't pretty, but it sure is rigged.
It seems to me that the monitors don't have matching colors. The right one has more green on it than the left one.
Also, I didn't like the LED stuff... you could have put the led behind your monitors
Otherwise it's a very nice setup, congrats
Updated pics. Ah, traytables. You make everything better.
This is fucking beautiful, 10/10
Oh nice, similar to command strips then that I use, I'll have to try that out, cool idea.
This is also fucking great, other than the cow and little things around I absolutely love it, that looks like such a comfy as fuck little area. Side mounting that third monitor/TV is sweet.
I'm surprised to see someone post that case.
I only just noticed how much the desk is bending in the middle holy shit
sorry guys, my mousepad got a little roughed up from the last LAN party
