Hardcoregamer is claiming that the Umihara Kawase games are coming back to Steam in the next two days (Jan 28th) now under this Degica publisher.
I have no idea who HC is, nor are they listing their sources, so what's the chance this is legit?
If you've been sleeping at the wheel, all three games were ported to PC and sold in Steam in the fall of last year, but just a few weeks ago the company went bankrupt and they pulled it from Steam.
I guess most people didn't buy it the first time because failed to notice this was the whole trilogy, not just the vita port. Looking forward to shitposts complaining $30 is too much and the japanese can't into good programming (the game is locked to something like 720p).
>(the game is locked to something like 720p)
Well that is undeniable that it is retarded, are all the 3 games like that?
Still, I want it, was already self-flagellating for not getting them when I had the chance so I'm jumping on it as soon as I can.
>DenSen (電線, meaning 'electric wire') was the provisional name for a canceled PlayStation 2 game
The wacky physics in this demo look very fun. Wish they released it.
Yeah I think Popful is the one true /vr/ waifu
even if she was our mascot, a tripfag pretending to "be" "her" is ultra-retarded.
If we absolutely need a board mascot, it's pic related. I don't get how any tripfags fit to the equation.
It's the 28th and no games in sight in the steam store.
She will always be a loli in my heart. I was crushed when I saw the artwork with her.
I have a copy of Sayonara, but the textures don't load up right
any way I can fix this, besides upgrading?
only the SNES ROM for now. The level formats are identical in all versions (SFC, Steam and NDS) so it would be possible to make the editor compliant with all versions pretty easily.
Agreed. We Steam users don't want any more of your weeb trash on our superior platform. It's bad enough as it is with Neptunia, Final Fantasy and countless VN's shitting up the store.
But weeb trash sales on Steam better than Japanese games.
They just issued an update to the article and posted a new one regarding missing the 28th deadline:
>We reached out to a Degica representative who told Hardcore Gamer that “due to unexpected delays Umihara missed our intended launch date, however, rest assured that these delays are not permanent and the launch of this beloved game will be soon.”
I still don't get why Degica aren't putting up something as simple as a fucking tweet about acquiring the games, we're forced to take on the word of journalists.
Yeah, I'm still not believing anything about this unless Degica says something publicly themselves. Just seems so strange several places are reporting that Degica's rereleasing it yet they haven't said a word about it on their site, etc
I'm making a pokemon hack right now. I recently got into Umihara Kawase so I made a GSC sprite. She's brown and pink because GSC sprites are only allowed to have two colors plus white and black for some reason, but I think I managed to make it look alright.
Now here's a question for you guys. Would you rather catch her as a wild Pokemon or fight her by replacing the Fisherman trainer sprite?
I'd like to fight her honestly. Since she catches fish and stores them in her backpack, it'd make sense that she'd then use whatever creatures she catches as Pokemanz.
I've decided to go both routes so I made a separate trainer sprite for her with the blue jacket.
Here's the back sprite.
So now that Degica has the rights to Umihara, does anyone want to join me in emailing them/contacting them on twitter and asking for Umihara Kawase Shun to make it to NA/EU PSN as a PS1 classic so we can play the full trilogy on american accounts?
I want to have all three games on my vita already.
First you need to contact them on twitter and ask them to publicly announce that they have indeed bought the rights to the games, because there's no public announcement by their part, not even a tweet.
So don't jump the gun yet.
THE GAMES ARE FINALLY UP ON STEAM
SHIT IS LIVE
>Publisher: Degica Co., Ltd.
I guess it was true after all, still don't understand why they aren't promoting this, but thanks degica
Great news, i picked up the original and Sayonara but missed out on Shun.
nice, there's a complete pack that has all 3 games.
and the pack itself is on sale, so $20 instead of $30.
The first game emulates well. I personally don't like how shun emulates since it was hit or miss for me.
The pc version has a practice mode for the first one(already in the second) and they run faster then the originals along with leaderboards, workshop and maybe something else.
