Someone broke into my house and stole my gaming collection. Not just my newer consuls but my retro stuff. I recently saw a lot of it at a retro gaming booth at the flea market this morning. I filed a police report but the flea market guy says they are part of his personal collection and we just happen to have the same games. Police seemed hesitant to do anything and generally did not care because it was "Just games".
The biggest retro losses were my copy of persona 1, earthbound, and my sealed in box Turtles in Time for the SNES.
Ever had any retro gaming stuff stolen /vg/? Should I just stick to emulation now?
I've already underpriced shit as hell, but then I just remind myself it's all just plastic and none of it matters.

Yeah, but the idea someone would steal it from me bothers me a lot. I work hard for what I have and I am not rich. I never really show off my collection so I don't think it was someone who knew me. I think the theif just knew the value and pawned it to the flea market guy who probably did not want to take the loss and admit he bought stolen goods.
Should've written your name on the cartridges.
This makes me not want to bother collecting. The fact that some nubian prince could undo years of searching in the blink of an eye... fuck. I'm sorry, OP.
No because I'm not sad enough to hoard plastic.
Time to grow up!
