the pronoun Adeleine uses in her description here in the official japanese website of Kirby 64 is watashi, and considering how young she looks, if she was a boy, she'd just use boku, which is common for male children (not only them, of course) to use.

I don't think Ado was ever gendered, aside from maybe in the manga, which isn't even regarded as canon. It's entirely possible the writers made Ado's gender ambiguous on purpose, which makes the entire debate pretty fucking pointless. Can you people go a single day without being autists?

Not all young males speak this way, especially if a writer wants a young character to come off as more formal or unassertive around others. "Watashi" is not uncommon with any age or social group.
