Is there a 007 game better than this?
Need some good Bond games asside from obvious pic related choice
>>
Robocod
>>
>>2894064

The World Is Not Enough, Agent Under Fire, and Nightfire were better overall games
>>
I honestly see nothing in Goldeneye other than being THE game to have fantastic splitscreen gatherings for that specific time. Everything from gameplay and beyond had been long surpassed by other Bond games, Perfect Dark, TimeSplitters, and more.
>>
James Bond: the Stealth Affair.
I'm telling you right now it blows all other Bond games out of the water.
>>
The World Is Not Enough for n64 was also great. I think i might even like it better than Goldeneye. The blue cart is also real attractive!
>>
>>2894094
but they aren't as fun
>>
>>2894128
Not really a 007 game though.
>>
>>2894162

I'd play through any of them 10 times before I'd pick up Goldeneye again.
>>
>>2894064
Try James Bond 007 for the old black and white GameBoy. It's a pretty good Zelda clone, believe it or not.
>>
>>2894292
I never figured out how to beat oddjob
>>
>>2894214
Do you have any facts to back up these bold Glames?
>>
>>2894296
I wish I could tell you how but it's been awhile since I played that game. I would spend hours gambling in the casino though.

This. I played this shit out of this game. I didn't have an Nintendo 64, so it was my Goldeneye substitute. Pretty solid, really.

>>2894313
>I would spend hours gambling in the casino though.
I got really good at Baccarat because of this game.
>>
>>2894064
The World Is Not Enough on PS1 was ultra fun. Also dem graphics.
>>
>>2894064
Sure, the remake where the headshots actually work properly and the control scheme isn't shit.
>>
Throwing in another vote for the N64 version of The World Is Not Enough.
>>
>>2894064
What's wrong with his mouth
>>
>>2894989
I am glad more people like this game. The music is also nice, although a bit uh, raw?
>>
>>2894094
>Agent Under Fire, and Nightfire were better overall games

Not sure how underage or how casual you have to be to say this.

An open-ended shooter with fun shooting mechanics vs literal linear predecessors to COD with gimmicky gadgets and handholding.
>>
>>2895062
>Not sure how underage or how casual you have to be to say this.
Wtf does that have to do with anything? I was born in '89, how does that affect anything?
>>
I though Everything or Nothing on PS2/GC/Xbox was good. I know people shit on EA Bond games but this one was seriously fun.

Also the Goldeneye remake on Wii was great. The online still works surprisingly.
>>
>>2895065
Well then you're a casual who is easily amused by Agent Under Fire/Nightfire's "theme park ride" gameplay (which was basically the COD of its day) where you have little control other than to funnel through some linear areas or use gadgets instead of appreciating Goldeneye's far superior gameplay with unstructured freedom / stealth / shooting.

Let me guess, Goldeneye sucks because you kept dying? Or maybe because it didn't explain what you had to do?
>>
>>2895070
I don't like agent under fire and nightfire but why so hate filled?
>>
>>2895062
>>2895070

Check your autism.
>>
>>2895096
Because Agent Under Fire and Nightfire perfectly encapsulates the beginning of what is wrong with the game industry and nostalgia for it is disgusting.

"Who gives a shit about good gameplay? Let's throw in some celebrities faces and voices, let's amuse the kiddies with silly gadgets, let's design the levels so nobody gets confused it's all in a straight line, when entering a new area let's pan the camera to show all of the secret areas so nobody misses out." Cynical lowest denominator game design at its finest.

And then the 12 year olds go hurrr WOW LOOK AT THESE GRAPHICS, LOOK I'M PIERCE FUCKING BROSNAN THROW THAT OLD GOLDENEYE CARTRIDGE IN THE BIN IT WAS SOOOO UNFAIR
>>
>>2895070
>Goldeneye sucks because you kept dying?
Wat. I love Goldeneye. I also love Agent Under Fire and Nightfire. Go troll somewhere else.
>>
>>2894094
Seconding NIghtfire. I don't want to be bold as to say it's better than Goldeneye, but it's a solid game in its own right.
>>
>>2895114
Goldeneye also used the likeness movie actors, you are just too blinded by your own 'disgusting nostalgia'. I think your point about level design is valid though, but please man, calm down. I bet people from generations before also thought GoldenEye was simple.
>>
Meh nightfire was the game that got closer to capturing the goldeneye feel, even more so than perfect dark
>>
>>2895125
Goldeneye isn't even one of my favorite games. I just want 6th genners out.
>>
>>2895139
And you are going to drive them away by acting like a nostalgia blinded fanboy? Isn't that what is bad about '6th genners' ?

But 6th gen is retro.
>>
Anyway, to get rid of the bitter taste, have some Gameboy Bond

Congrats, you're THAT faggot who brought this up. And you know it's not his mouth.
>>
>>2894064
>Is there a 007 game better than this?
Everything or nothing is leagues better, I consider it the best bond game desu. In b4 not retro eat a queef sperglords.
>>
>>2894064
The World Is Not Enough, Agent Under Fire and Nightfire
>>
>>2895070
Why are you being such a dick?
>>
>>2894064
Agent Under Fire was kinda forgettable, but had the grappling gun thingy so you could be Secret Agent Spider Man in multiplayer, which was awesome

Nightfire did basically everything Goldeneye did, but better

I thought Everything or Nothing was fucking great, and really nailed the feeling of being Bond.

None of those games are retro, though.
>>
>>2895475
Honestly, getting four people together and giving everyone the Q Claw and adding bots was the most fun I've ever had with a multiplayer shooter. Everyone is is clinging to ceilings and flying across the map and finding weird places to hide, it's controlled chaos. It's so damn fun. It's the only reason I own that game.
>>
>>2895062

>An open-ended shooter with fun shooting mechanics

Ahahahahahahahaha. Go replay Goldeneye, don't just imagine your 7 year old self playing it and having fun. Clunky as fuck controls and retarded AI.
>>
>>2895070
Man fucking faggot, do you have down syndrome?
>>
>>2895139

Nobody is intimidated by some aspie throwing a temper tantrum on 4chan. You just look like a manchild.
>>
>>2894094
This guy is completely full of shit.

Goldeneye was the only even remotely not-mechanically-broken-as-fuck bond game.
>>
>>2895642
I can't personally do justice to telling you how utterly wrong that statement is.

I can't go back in time and tell every person in history not to ever say during an argument "you're wrong", just so that I can be the first person to ever say it and it stops your opinion in it's tracks, but if I could, I would. Good golly gee willickers mister.
>>
The Duel is pretty good too, dat soundtrack especially

>>2896337

it's only one of the best N64 games ever, but you wouldn't know that since you're an immature jackass.
>>
>>2896345
Just because it was a damn good game then doesn't mean it aged well.

Dat bass-line...
>>
>>2896364

true. that's how we all feel about your mom.
>>
>>2896345

That's an insult to the N64. It had plenty of great games, Goldeneye was not one of them.
>>
>>2896459
GoldenEye was fine. It was a fun party game at the time. Sure it hasn't stood the test of time, and it couldn't stand up technically to PC shooters in its day, but it was fine for what it was.
>>
>>2894064
I've played pretty much all of them. The only others that came close were Nightfire and Everything or Nothing, but Goldeneye is obviously the best.
Goldeneye Source was fun on PC, too.

Name an FPS on PC that was out by August 25 1997 aside from Quake and its mods that was technically better.

The technology of Goldeneye wasn't that bad for 1997. It did a real-time 3D portal engine before Unreal and Thief did (Quake precomputed its portals).

I liked the multiplayer aspects of Agent Under Fire and Nightfire way more.

I mean, the bot mechanics and options tweaking of Agent Under Fire was fucking top notch to the point that I still play it with people today, and Nightfire's increased team sizes and bot mechanics, though not as good as Agent Under Fire, were still fun. Nightfire definitely had better weapons, but worse speed and control.
