Now that Misty has re-appeared, now the girl who hasn't shown up in the anime the longest is May back in 2008. And with Kaori done we'll never see her again.

Dawn appeared as recently as 2012, and of course Iris and Serena were in the show after that. It's now been almost a decade since May has appeared. Oh well.

I'm currently watching sm and I don't understand this thought sm Ash is pretty great so far he is pretty much as mature as xy Ash and an untouchable battler with no real reset in his skills between regions and not an idiot. The anime is designed in a way that you can watch at the start of a new saga/gen and not have to worry about what came before. The writers do this so kids can watch the current season and not have to worry they missed 800 prior episodes.

You can watch most of the anime out of order, it doesn't really matter at this point. You'll just miss certain references when old pokemon or characters come back.

The Aether Foundation can't really be absent considering that they've already started to introduce it. They have to answer a lot of questions. What happened to Lillie that she can't touch Pokemon eventually? Where's Lusamine? Why is Gladion so adamant about not wanting to come back? Why doesn't he want anyone else to see Type: Null? If they weren't planning on introducing the Aether Foundation then they wouldn't have introduced those questions.

Why is she so best?

The problem is this comes out to nearly 1000 episodes. I don't think anyone but the most hardcore pokemon anime fans will ever sit through all 1000 episodes of pokemon. The show has now gone on so damn long that most people will probably never watch 50-60% of it's episodes.

Gyms in Alola make no sense if there're no gyms in USUM games.

Gyms could become a side quest for the others. There are no gyms, but they could be established. If Kiawe and Mallow see something incredible in Brock and Misty during their battles - that want to be like them, whats to stop a potential arc where they decide that they want to pursue somethign like that. Kukui starting the League and Mallow and Kiawe working with him to become Alolas first leaders since they aren't captains.

Mallow a Gym Leader of Melemele while running Aina Cafe Kiawe a Gym Leader of Akala while working on the farm.

Ash doesn't want to be a Gym Leader, so it wouldn't make sense for him to activly challenge his friends for badges since the League is in development.

But towards the end of the series it would be a good way for them to tests their strengths as Leaders.

She is just background character that never got any attention. If she would have appeared in DP they would have given her some relevancy. You know it's actually today's ep that makes me realize why I don't care too much for Misty/Brock anymore. While they're ok in small doses, they're essentially both just stagnant characters who rely on the same gags for 20 years (flirting with girls, Misty's fear of bugs), and beyond that never get much of a chance to do stuff because they're always in the background. They worked well in Season 1 but beyond that they've been the same old literally every time we see them.

Their battles next week look good though, and will be a good sendoff to them.

I am honest,i love the SM anime. I enjoyed every episode so far. It is exactly what i want the anime to be " a light hearted, comfy and fun series that doesn't take itself to serious". Every character of the main cast is unique and does their own thing. Like you never know what you get with them as they react different to certain things than the others.

It was kinda what the previous XY series lacked a lot. Ash was to serious.
Serena was in the beginning cute with her crush but it got boring real fast.I really wish it wouldn't be the only character trait she had with it being done to death in every episode. They should have made it only appear on special occasions to make it at least somewhat special and not feel like her lusting over Ash.
Clemont's explosion gag seemed over done with ash always overreacting the same way to it knowing the same happens.Another thing about Clemont that bothered me is him kissing Ash's ass 24/7.
Bonnie,she was the only character that was well rounded from the maincast having a wide range of character traits.
