It by far one of most poorly written battle with obvious plot armor that infuriated everyone. It as if the entire battle was written by an Alain fanboy.

Kalos league was even worst because we barely seen Ash's battle at all.
It was basically Alain and Shota league since the league only focused on them.

At least , Sinnoh league was well paced with better battle without obvious plot armor.
