There's an artificial lake in the middle of the city. That's where I found the magikarp (as a pokestop-linked 'mon), there's no more water pokemon there though. It's weird, they clearly detected the water to know to spawn the magikarp there, they just didn't bother spawning more than one per day.

I went to my first articuno raid with my dad because I'm a social retard and I saw a group of people outside and knew it was my chance to actually get one, my dad doesn't play, doesn't have a phone.

I got into the group and we were stood off to the side a bit, when 3 of the dudes came over and started talking to my dad, asking if he wanted to come with them to another raid after this, as they were hunting lugia. He had no phone in his hand, I was very clearly the one playing but they just ignored me.

In the end my dad politely said he didn't play and they just told him if he ever did they could join up. No word to me. We were both speechless.

I'm very paranoid. I have bad social anxiety but I'm not a stuttering autist, maybe I was just too ugly? I have no idea. The whole situation still baffles me.

And I didn't catch the Articuno and I haven't found a group since.
