As for your mons I've soloed lvl 1 with 1.3 pokemon (skarmory vs bayleaf) without problem. Just choose the ones that deal the most damage as you don't have to worry about survivability in lvl 1 raid.

Remember, the raid passes aren't just the chance to catch a rare, high iv mon, they are also a very good chance at getting rare candies (essentially 5 kms of walking you don't need to do), and tms (uncuck your shit moves high cp/iv mons). I considering myself as a former hardcore pogo player, I keep questioning myself since the rework has come into effect in the game. I never minded the blissey walls and nearly impossible to beat gyms because they were a challenge. I'm a very competitive player loving challenges and so are most of my crew (me, my cousin, his kids, my gf, her kids, and my neighbor)

With the rework, the general feeling we have is the challenge has vanished. Still, I understand the casual base of players now enjoying a game they can play since before the gaming level of the players owning the game was too high for them.

Now, after a full year of pogo, the rework had me think about how should that gap be filled between the hardcore and the casuals?

I believe the only way to make the game fun to EVERYONE is to create playing levels so that you can choose your level of difficulty for the game. here are some thoughts on how the different levels should look like:

>EASY
exactly the way it is now (lets face it, can't get easier). Maybe reduce the KM in the buddy system and better hatches from low KM eggs (maybe even removing the 10km)

>INTERMEDIATE
slower decay of the over 3k CP pokemon * faster decay of the below 3k CP pokemon * adjusting the limit of same poke in gyms * raids difficulty adjusted by qty of raiders * less items drop at gym stops * different egg hatches * keep buddy system as it is

>HARD
same as intermediate but more strict. Lot less decay from powerful mons. * Also not allowing that it would take 3 fights to kick out a 10cp pidgey. * Having less low level eggs * Having higher km needed in buddy system
I believe some of these changes would make a ton of difference to the game and please a larger amount of the player base, allow them to choose how they want to play the game. It sucks the coin rewards have dropped to 50 but I don't think there should be a difference in coin rewards from a level to another

The problem with this change is they are trying to appeal to low levels and casuals while throwing their whales under the bus. That's not how you do buisness in a mobile game. All of a sudden everyones Dragonites and Blissey are more or less worthless in the meta (Dragonite is still ok but not worth the same).

The old system made hatching eggs important because every % higher a Pokemon had for IVs meant it was a little bit higher in a gym compared to everyone else. Now? I dont give a shit about eggs or hatches anymore since perfect Pokemon mean a lot less than they used to.

The only thing to spend money on these days is Hanke passes but that's not the same as incubators. You can use incubators at any time during real life stuff (work, walking casually, etc). Raid passes need you to dedicate a certain amount of time for Pokemon go but even THEN its rng heavy (what spawns, what drops you get, if you catch, etc).

I'd add something like prestiging back. Gyms will start at 6 but can go up to 10. Prestiging was a way to have a use for shitty Pokemon (Lanturn, Parasect, etc.) that otherwise dont get used much. Reduce motivation decline rate.

I would also have it so having a bronze raid badge would show you what level 1 and 2s were going to spawn (instead of an egg). Silver would show tier 3,and gold would show tier 4. But that would involve actual rewards for accomplishments and we cant have that.

Promotional material claims the first Legendary Pokemon will be arriving sometime during this event which ends on the 24th July.

The Chicago and Chester events on the 22nd (and 23rd also for Chester) are looking likely to be the place where the Legendaries raids occur.

Like with the raid battles it is possible that Legendary Raids may require you to be a certain level while also having a Legendary Raid Pass.

The local gym had of 1200 cp snorlax left but I had to fight the other dead mons and the first one wouldn't faint and the time would run out, and the gym would exit on an error.
