Assuming you have six mons at around 3000 CP;

Lvl 1; You should be able to solo these with 1-2 mons

Lvl 2; You should be able to solo these with 3-4 mons

Lvl 3, anything below 20000 can be taken down with 2 people, anything higher needs 3 people

Lvl 4 anything below 27000 can be taken down by 5-6 people, anything higher needs approximately 8-10 people. Tyranitar is an exception and would require 12.

The only ones that would be do-able would be Charizard, Dragonite, Tyranitar and Rhydon.
Tyranitar is absolutely ridiculous but Machamp does have high atk
Dragonite seems to have fairly low CP, so maybe?
Charizard seems reasonable except there aren't many good Rock types, best shout would be six Golems

Used six super-effective 3000+ CP mon's on a Lvl 3 Vaporeon (16996 CP) today and it only got to half way. Hence my recommendation for 2 players because for some reason super-effective mon appear to not be as effective randomly (as per the comment about using a Skarmony in the other thread)

So you want to farm coins?

50 coin limit, assuming you always put a pokemon in and get it kicked out every day;

Every 2 days you can get a premium raid pass
Every 1 day you get a raid pass

So every 2 days you'll have gained three raid passes total.

1000 / 3 = 333.3 days.

So even if you are lucky enough to be getting your Pokemon out every day and getting you the coins, you'll be playing almost an entire year before you get the badge.

And the badge itself is only useful if you are trying to get the raid Pokemon to fill your Pokedex... so by the time you get the badge and it helps you out with taking down the gyms - it'll be pointless.

They've dropped the gym exp to a tenth of what it was when the new gyms launched, I was getting up to 200 per pokemon and today I was getting 21 at max.

I think the thing I miss more than the +100 coin limit was the star dust.

The coins were nice but that daily dust income was a lot and equalled to several dozen extra catches a day. I guess since I have access to more items from gym spinning, it's not that big a deal anymore but I will still miss them.
