Vega is a gold-covered turd. Horrible region with boring environment and tons of pointless backtracking, boring fetchquest puzzles, horribly overpowered moves, terrible dex distribution and stupidly difficult battles (to the point where the only good strategy for the late game is DeepYawn/baton pass cheese) with a retarded level curve. The only good thing it has going for it are the nice spritework and kind of balanced fakemons (with the blatantly broken shit - jibakun everyone?). For all its childish jokes and unpolished sprites, Clover is at least fun to play (for the most part).

I don't like the backtracking between animango and beehive. you have to traverse meme inc. to find the grunt that tells you the card isn't in the building, so you have to leave meme inc and talk to the dude in the building next to Meme Inc., then travel back to animango and explore the ruins, then travel back to Meme Inc and clear it, then travel back to Animango to find the grunt with the key and team Karma's hideout. If you use speedhacks than it doesn't take long but it still feels completely unnecessary and just adds tedium.

What exactly was Team Karma's objective? Normally the leader of the evil team gives the full speech about their ultimate plan/objective, but for obvious reasons that didn't happen here. The only actively evil thing they pulled off the whole game was stealing the Ruse Cruise, and that's tame compared even to Gen 1 Team Rocket. What were they trying to do?

Like I'm actually wondering if Karma wouldn't just have self-destructed even if I hadn't shown up to stop it; there was a constant theme of the grunts quitting, or otherwise complaining about their abysmal lives, and Lil'Bro, the apparent second-in-command, actually admits even he's sick and disgusted with it.

Man, I didn't think it would be harder to catch Scytill than it was to catch Jewipede, since I caught the latter when my team was 30 levels lower than it, using regular Poke Balls, and relying on a level 25 Pikotton for sleep-inducing, while now my team was the one with the level advantage, I had access to Ultra Balls, and had Jewipede to induce sleep while also being nigh impossible to kill.

That legends are made to be broken. The extra TMs don't really improve things much to be honest, especially since we are dealing with gen 3 tms. Arceus in comparison gets pretty much everything it needs anyways, and maybe more than ADesign if you consider stuff like Wisp that ADesign doesn't get. What makes Adesign broken is the signature move. While Arceus benefits from being any type it wants to be, Adesign benefits from having and needing no type.

Champion: used Holy Duty on the lead, which let me set up Swords Dance with Scytill while the champion wasted the only full restore, and then sweep through half the team until the ace showed up. Applied Toxic with Jewipede, stole the Eviolite, and then just applied Full Restores until it died, while also reviving Lizakbar. Glass anon 1-shot the dragon, then nearly killed the last one, letting Lizakbar take the final blow.

Final verdict: Despite using a team that was incredibly overpowered, where half the team was BST 600 (and one of those was EV trained, if somehow by accident, and thus probably the most powerful thing on the team), another two members were final starter evos, and the last was a 31/31/31/31/31/31 EV trained killing machine from Wonder Trade, and with 2 Life Orbs to go around (upped to 3 during the E4), I still had to think about what to do during each fight. Someone with an actually balanced team that wasn't 50% steel types and 33% dragon types would probably have had an easier time than I did, even with Scytill and Glass anon being basically designed to destroy in-game battles

Unfortunately, this means that Clover's endgame is still easier than Pokemon Sun; I got stuck on Kahili much longer than I did even Professor Stump
