The magazine you're posting is for adults while CoroCoro is for kids. Here's pic related for a fairer comparison. Still has lots of big pictures, but text isn't flying around haphazardly.

It's a short block of text up in the top right corner, all the other stuff is just blurbs that go with the illustrations. It's not very different from the page you posted, there's just less article text and more pictures with blurbs. It's decently enough organized.

You might not have noticed it but there's huge explosions of text bursting off the page while the important information is shoved to the edges like unimportant little footnotes.
When you look at the page you naturally follow the largest object. So if you're going to have that huge bursting text, it should lead into the blocks of text.
The Marshadow page kinda works, but the Ho-Oh page needs to be flipped. That way you could start from the base of the text, stop at Ho-Oh's wing, then drop down to read the paragraph.
