Ok so pokemon spawn at pokestops now instead of the 3 step tracker there used to be before.
Occasionally you'll stumble upon a nest, where the same poke will pop up over and over again. Nests last two weeks before they change (last change was 3 days ago)
As you can imagine, the good shit is harder to find so if you see a poke you want then by all means, find it before it despawns (fifteen minutes)
The "best" pokemon right now are Tyranitar, Blissey, Dragonite, Snorlax, ryhorn, Garyados, and Vaporeon.
As a way to discourage spoofing, trainers that are below level 30 that catch the same pokemon will have different iv's on them. Those above 30 will be the same.
Obviously, pokes are biome dependant. So if you want water pokes the go to a river. Want ground/rock? Mountains or desert etc.

And i almost forgot, there are 2 new berries. Nanab berries will make a poke stop spazzing around on the screen (they do that now)and pinap berries will give you double candy.

There seems to be a fundamental misconception about spawns and the tracker here.

Pokestops have zero relation to Pokemon spawn points. Spawn points are fixed, and they spawn one Pokemon an hour every hour. The tracker used to display some 9 random Pokemon that were in range. Now it displays 9 random Pokemon but prioritises displaying the ones that happen to be near Pokestops.

Whenever Niantic does an event like this where they mess with spawns, all but one of the events just increased the probability of the mentioned spawning at a spawn point. The one exception was like, Thanksgivnig or whatever, when Niantic ADDED extra spawn points and hasn't again since.

Case in point, a forest trail in my area. You can walk everywhere in the forest and not get a single spawn. Then you come to any of the 3 stops that are along the path, and suddenly a burst of spawns (5+) appear.

Pokestops and gym data came from Ingress nerds uploading landmark and business locations and shit. If your town has no stops/gyms, it's because you had no Ingress nerds. If you have a shitton, it's thanks to your town's Ingress nerds. If you have stops in all the wrong places (e.g. ghettos and suburbs are devoid of stops), it's because of your Ingress nerds.
Pokemon spawn locations were generated from cell phone activity Niantic got from the NSA (probably not actually NSA) or something. Unrelated to stops/gyms.

Denser population areas --> More cell activity --> More spawns
Denser population areas --> More likely to have Ingress nerds --> More stops/gyms

This is why there are lots of areas with spawns but no stops/gyms in sight and vice versa.

When Niantic added the Starbucks and Sprint Pokestops, did you notice an increase in spawn points around those points? You did not. Because Niantic didn't touch spawn points then.

Niantic is just using the new tracker as an advertising platform. That's the main point of implementing the new tracker. It's not because spawn points are tied to Pokestops, it's because the Pokemon just happen to be an excuse to put one extra advertisement logo on the screen. This is why I don't expect them to ever make an improvement to it. No species filters, no sorting, etc. They wanted 9 logos on the screen (because they can't squeeze in more), they got 9 logos on the screen, and they'll never have a reason to change it.

Honestly Blissey doesn't have a bad moveset, unless you want an attacking moveset
Zen is better on defense because it's slightly stronger than Pound and scares away Fighting types, and Psychic is the quickest charge move and does the most damage to fighting types, so it can catch players out.
Psychic is underrated, it's not got as much DPS but Gleam and Hyper Beam are so easy to dodge they're practically non-existent.

It'll only really get cucked by Alakazam.
