I check every fucking Pokémon I catch for IV's and anyone who's not at least 85 % goes to the candy shredder.

This is a prestiger, roughly half the CP of an average gym sitter, so using it in friendly gym fights maximizes the gym level gain
Prestigers need good moves though, just like attackers, this thing can squash 3k Rhydons even though it's IVs are below 40% iirc

I like bird types. Decided to keep them for the lulz. They're all above 75%. It's also a bit of an experiment. That's only half of the original Pidgeot flock. Cut out all cp's lower than 500, unless they had two 15's of those that were left, I cut all below 75%.

You wouldn't believe how useful it is to have an air force like that when prestiging gyms that have low-cp mons on the bottom rung.

The Pidgeots are the biggest flock. I have others. They're not as meticulously kept however.

I'm not even autistic. I just get really bored some times.

On the cheating scale, where 10 is botting with an army and 1 is never even using the appraisal tool, using a gym scanner is around a 3. It's not invasive. It doesn't take over gyms and it doesn't provide an unfair advantage in battles or items. Most people use it in order to find gyms in their area. A less lazy method would be to simply keep a log of what gyms you've found, where they are, and defenders seen regularly. It's a lot of leg work (pardon the pun), but it would allow for a good facsimile for the gym scanner.

Or, you could just not be a bitch about a mostly harmless tool. There are far greater levels of cheating going on to worry about gym scanners, which only really add an additional load on the servers.
