Got Reshiram from a timed booster, it seems decent in theory, but, is it really good without Zekrom or the plate?

Let's say we have a level 4 EX figure and want to get it to level 5 JUST by fusing Tyrogues from story mode grinding. If Tyrogues are awarded about 50% of the time from winning stage 1.1, how many matches do need to win (roughly) to be able to level that EX figure from 4 to 5?

It's honestly really good right now. Most big attackers have over 100 damage, and Hyper Sonic is HUGE. Mew rarely "loses," it just runs away, sits there, or Hyper Sonics through a purple move.

It's also a free surround win if you have Mew and a 2-3 mp on their entries. I still prefer hyper sonic though because it's essentially a dodge against a lot of the meta and is useful for reliable kills against Yveltal, Deo-D, Gyara, and Shuppet, in addition to being useful against squishier mons if you use X-Atk

After a lot of bad rolls and with only 50 seconds left on the clock, the opponent had me cornered and wasting turns waiting for him to do a move, since it was a lost game i decided to let Carlo play the rest of the game for i was done with this match, somehow Carlo manage to get all of the good rolls, taking out figures left and right just opening his way to the opponent's goal, and in the last turn, starting with 00 seconds on the clock he captured the goal and gave me one of the most crazy victories i've ever had.

I do have Raikou I have never used due to worrying it would just land on ot's white or miss plates.

Lucario has been good to me for the most part (and I have two of him) with his Aura Sphere taking out some pesky high attackers.

I've used both Raikou and Mew and Raikou is pretty fucking shit. Mew is usually enough to break through purple users. I honestly don't rate Kirlia/Gardevoir that high in the current meta but I'm guessing you don't have a stronger mon to replace it with. Looks like a pretty solid rush team though.

I'd maybe use your EX cube on Articuno.

And yeah, I'm not really sure what to replace Gardevoir with as well as it's purple hasn't really been too helpful recently.

I think the main problem I have is a lack of strong attackers, but that's just been my bad luck I guess.

Has anyone had success with Tentacruel, or is it just a worse Blastoise in a non-tentacool deck? I didn't know it was even available in-game, but I found it in the shop and it looks alright despite it's 1MP.
Also, put together some of my custom figures. Ambipom is the newest, so not sure if it's balanced or not.

It could work pretty well with a water manaphy boosted team, but the one 1MP is pretty rough, you don't wanna have more than 1 in your deck because you wanna move it with a switch plate, 1 MP is just too slow to use them any other way.

Ambipom looks fun as fuck to use. I think you have a case for making Rototiller permanent on Bibarel (like Xerneas and Yveltal's moves are); it would make Bibarel slightly more viable but definitely wouldn't make it overpowered.

I want to use this for league matches, not just the hypothetical gym. Wigglytuff's ability makes it so the opponent can't use plates after you move/attack with Wigglytuff. This is kind of great for dealing with deoxys teams, Shuppet/Dexosys S Swap Spot, etc. which is why I didn't know whether to bring 2 or 3 Wigglytuff.

2 sylveon 3 wigglytuff i think it's the best option, if you have say 2 wigglytuff in your PC, the sylveons will still do 90 dmg, you will have to carry a goal block though, for if you go first and the opponent has a speed deoxys, it can reach your goal faster than you.

I want to dispel the idea that manually spinning the prize wheel vs clicking the button gives different results.

I decided to capture the outgoing traffic from my phone using Fiddler. I noticed that immediately after you win a match in Quest mode, the game sends a request to the server to get your prize and update your figures/plates/library/user info/etc. this happens before you see the prize wheel.

After you spin the prize wheel, there is NO request to the server at all. You would think there would be one since you expect the server to update your account based on the prize you apparently just got but no. This means that he prize is determined before you even spin.

So I guess it's finally time to let the "manual spin is better" meme die


for any other computerfags who want to poke around with this, the request that seems to get your prize generated is the SetObfuscatedResultX API request

Is it worth buying a second Deoxys-A with material? I have one at the moment and it constantly wrecks shit, and I have a gap in my team I need to fill. Would be great against Reuniculus, Zapdos and Latios, but not sure it's worth forking over the 3000 material.

I'm not sure what your rank is, but I was able to rank up pretty quickly just from buying Deoxys-A and Cosmo Energy and building a team with Deo-A, Deo-S and Deo-N, the latter 2 of which I already had, but weren't able to put to work until I bought Deo-A with material. It's just a strong build because of its consistency. The fact that you can usually gain board control early kind of helps reduce potential variance that would result from a drawn-out battle

It's probably either tilt or just fatigue from playing too many matches, where you're not noticing things and playing too quickly. I used to tell myself that tilt doesn't happen in this game because of things like bugbot and rewards for each win, but it definitely still does. Also, your deck is probably inconsistent to a degree, are you using something like Lati@s or a rush team?

'Tilt' is just a term used in games that use rating ladders or ELO. It's a phenomenon where you generally play worse if you keep playing a string of games while you're frustrated and not playing at your best as a result of the frustration. So instead of getting a bunch of matches to avenge a string of losses to luck, it might be better to take a break and re-earn on the points later.

As for Latios and Latias, I was basically in the same situation as you where I was hovering between the 2100-2300 range and had to swallow the redpill that they're shit in the current meta due to the profileration of Deoxys-A and Reuniclus, and the power creep in general. I only had Latios in my team so I imagine it's worse for you, since you'd be playing 4 v. 6 if you lost both of them. Even though your team is pretty fast with 3 3MP figures, your opponent's team also contributes to the pace of the battle, and if they're stacking Reuniclus, Deoxys, or Birds, you're going to have a hard time rushing, and will be at a disadvantage as the battle gets drawn out and the Latis have more chances to potentially be killed.

They're definitely good figures but right now it's just too easy for an opponent to kill them, and you're put at a huge disadvantage if that happens. I'm not the best at team building but if you want to post your figures I could offer some suggestions.

I think it might be time to stop using them, Latios in particular was my MVP for the longest time and I used 2 of them at a point until I got Latias. Would you suggest something I could use instead? Yeah, I know the feeling. I got Latios in a sexpack on my first day of the game and it carried me through story mode and all the way up to Masters the first time I broke 2300. As for buying EXs, Deoxys-A and Zapdos are probably the most self-sufficient and powerful of the EX figures right now, you could also use it on one of Reshiram/Zekrom if you happened to pack the other.

Duel is pretty strange though because there's definitely a light barrier of entry to keep ranking up in master. Even if you can't break a certain rank, the chance to earn boosters for each win is pretty valuable albeit annoyingly grindy. So you could just sit on your material and spend it if you happened to get something like a Reuniclus, and build around that.

I want to try out a leafeon/whimsicott combo I've been theorycrafting, Leafeon can move through Whimsicott and Whimsicott can swap with Leafeon, combine that with swap spot so I think it'd give me amazing manoeuvrability and outplay potential in two slots (both being durable MP3s too)

It's an early EX so it's been invalidated by creep. It was easily one of the strongest figures a while ago, so your list is probably just outdated.

Moltres is pretty good. 110 is very threatening and kills most white/gold attackers besides deoxys/latios/latias/etc. Burn charge is nice too.

Articuno is a decent defender. It can deal with Greninja, Mew, and other low damage runners well. It's also a great Pokemon that stops most weaker Pokemon besides Magikarp from evolving since they usually have <60 power moves.

Zapdos is of course amazing since it's one of the best gold attackers in the game.

In terms of tiers I think Zapdos is S, Moltres is maybe A and Articuno is A or B.

You're right, it's not bottom five, I guess I was being overly hyperbolic there. You get the point though, it was nonviable before it's buff because Hyper Sonic lacked the ability it has now and its blue attack sent it back to the fucking bench, which is completely counterintuitive to its purpose. In addition to this, the 'shittier' EX figures initially had more upside in the early meta than they do now, because the game's power creep had yet to really set in. Hopefully we can at least agree that EX figures are worth holding on to, rather than fusing, because they may be potentially buffed in the future, instead of sperging out over a phrasing error.

i dunno why but once i hit master league i'm terrified of playing because all it takes is "not being in the groove" and you will lose 3-5 matches in a row and get demoted. i'm terrified of getting demoted.

Evolve it from Magmar. Get Magmar to level 4, increase the size of Fire Punch. Increase it's CLvl to 1 to make Fire Punch do 51 damage. Using strong figures just means you use strong figures to beat people that don't have strong figures.

As I was typing this it got fixed though
After about 5 more app restarts I had the information screen pop up on open which fixed it.

I'm still curious on the cause and a proper fix for it though
