Don't tell me Mallow chan has a perfect, optimistic life when it's obvious she doesn't given how nosy she is trying to meddle into everyone's business. The movie promises to answer questions "that we've always wanted to know".

That could mean a fuck load of things.

But if you look at the Pokemon anime as a whole there are a few things that stand out that the average Pokemon fan would want to know about it.

>What do you have to do to become a Pokemon Master?
>What is the connection between Ash and Ho-oh?
>Where did Prof. Oak get Pikachu and why?
>Who is Ashs dad?
>What is the Champions League?

Of these questions, the most common question would be about becoming a Pokemon Master and the connection between Ash and Ho-oh. The Ho-oh one we should get an answer to. The Pokemon Master question we might, but are unlikely to get an answer to.

What would be neat is if the movie opened with Pikachu in the wild and Professor Oak coming upon it and capturing it.

XY&Z Ash was more than expressive enough to a more toned down and tolerable degree. We don't need whacky and goofy faces 24/7 like this is some modern day western cartoon like TTG.

SM Ash's expressions are often overdone, though they do admittedly look good when they aren't.

Honestly the SM anime is decent for casual viewing, but there's no "hype" surrounding it. I don't get excited to find out what's happening next, or what's going on. I like Ash's two SM pokemon so far, but it's not enough.

Thank you, Cathcart, but the 4Kids dub blows the TPCi dub out of the water by this point- both dubs made errors & edits, but 4Kids had a much better voice acting team, left more of the Japanese OST in their dub, their dub music wasn't UFO shit tier, and their intros were almost double the length of TPCi's. Hell, even the split screen credits were better than the lazy instrumental of the opening theme TPCi does, too.
