Grinding out my remaining trainer challenges, went into this matchup where their attack did 20 for each energy I had on my active.

Just hit done for a couple minutes to win, would have lost otherwise as it took me 20~ turns to draw some other then a Pokemon.

Well I need 3 energy on M Mawile to be able to attack, the faster I can set up my Mawile the better. If one of them gets taken out early it's over really.

Crushing hammer will take up 4 item slots and I don't know what I would change as even running 10 energy sometimes runs close.

Also what else could I even do to stop someone from setting up bench outside of Lysandre or running big hitters early?

Keep in mind I don't have the highest of mmr so that runs to my favour.

Kept working on this waterbox, pretty dang fun to play and very good when set up. Thinking of squeezing in another max potion for a free full heal because I can move energy around with Golduck.

Very flexible, have finished one Pokemon off with Palkia and put a benched EX into range for Lapras to finish off after moving energy onto it.

It sets up fairly quickly but I don't know what else I can do to prepare for Gard. I still do have a little leeway in terms of doing things without abilities just need to set up differently.

Articuno obviously there because I can do 70 with FFB and 90 with Kukui with only one heads so there is a chance to take 3 prizes with it.

Have also beat Lurantis so I feel like that deck is more of a meme deck than any good.

I had my energies set up quick, so I hit the Lurantis with Lapras GX to paralyse and finished it off with Palkia putting 30 damage onto their second. I finished it off next turn with Lapras + FFB and Kukui. They forfeit after that.

Also yea they were using Vileplume but didn't get to set it up turn 1.

But the Golduck is the whole point? After one turbo from Palkia or a couple max elixir hitting I have enough energy to use any attack on any Pokemon.

For example as I said >>31900259 I had 3 energy on my Lapras before he had 3 on Lurantis, I hit it with the GX move. Next turn I moved my 4 energy onto Palkia and finished off the Lurantis then did 30 damage to his next Lurantis which didn't have enough energy for a Solar Blade. Moved energy back to my Lapras, used a Kukui for extra damage and finished that one off.

The Golduck also lets me take energy off a Pokemon, heal it with max potion and then move them back on. Also lets me keep my Articuno on bench without energy and bring it out when I want to finish. Can also retreat Pokemon to my bench to heal for a couple of turns while attacking with others.

Not really, terms of agreement pretty much tell you to not use external programs to cheat or redeem packs you don't really own, there's nothing really about "agree with other anonymous people online and exploit a loophole on your system caused by your own coding inexperience". I don't play IRL, but the general advice is to avoid buying single boosters of Sun/Moon. There is a mapping trick that allows people to work out which boosters contain the rarer cards and leave the rest in the box.

If you buy from an open box, chances are that all the good boosters are gone.

Because almost all of the Pokemon in it (everything except Bunnelby) are bad. The Pokemon also seem to have little synergy, with no real focused strategy of how to win.

The list of Trainers is also very suspect. It is either short of (or lacks entirely), most staple cards. It has cards such as Winona and Fairy Garden at x4 (Winona should be 1 max, and I don't even know why Fairy Garden is there at all). Birch and Shauna are also very mediocre cards.

Also, last but not least, you have 3 Bibarels and 0 Bidoofs.

Not counting some of the promo cards which have retardedly high tradable values (for example, the heliolisk you can get in the shop right now charts at fucking 130 packs just because of how rare tradable copies of it are). Jirachi is one of these cards and as such, it's really hard to judge the actual value. Value will also fluctuate wildly with these cards, if they come back in a bundle it's suddenly 2,400-3,200 tokens for a playset, which is literally nothing.

Common cards range from $0.01 to like $0.50, uncommons are like $0.25 to $2.00 or so, non-EX rares are usually around $1-5 depending on the card, EX cards run from $2.00 to $50.00, but the vast majority are below $10.00 or so. Only Shaymin is in the $25+ range if you're not talking full art cards.

Can someone help me with TCGO?

I have the mental might deck which I use to play online. In the Trainer Challenges section, I beat the fire dude with the fire deck, the water deck, and the electric deck, so I have three stars on him. When I beat him again with one of the fire/water/elec decks, I don't get the last star.

My Mental Might deck doesn't show up for use in the Trainer Challenges section. What do? I want those booster packs you get when you get four stars.

for online, just buy cheap 40-50 cent packs from reliable sites. trade them for single cards. Any packs you get from the challenges save them for trades. Look at the FAQ and paste bin at the top of the thread. Also for trading save up those coins since it costs coins to trade except private.

Audino has no type advantage, can't utilize eeveelutions for additional type advantage, is slow as shit with it's spirit link especially when compared to energy evolution, and has less utility. The only reason people used Audino was for it's relevant splash damage. When it comes down to it, the difference between 30 and 50 is only relevant vs Vespiquen.

That list is old, Xerosic is no longer standard. It's also bad. Leafeon is a garbage card, Glaceon and Jolteon are the good eeveelution cards. Flareon and Espeon EX also have their uses, Umbreon/Espeon GX are both good, it's really just Leafeon EX and Vaporeon EX that are dogshit. If you want to play grass, Vespiquen, Lurantis, and Decidueye are the best decks, but Decidueye and Vespiquen are going to be gone after rotation so Lurantis is the best value pick.

Playing big EX basics with grass right now is pointless because it doesn't take advantage of grass's two main advantages as a type

1. Forest of Giant Plants, which lets you evolve as much as you want on the same turn
2. Revitalizer, which for one item card lets you take 2 pokemon out of discard. This works with EX cards but you don't want to trade prizes if you're playing EX attackers.

As far as dropping money goes, drop money on boosters then trade for singles, try to get them on ebay where they're cheap, watch out for 'mixed code' lots since they tend to be loaded with shit packs like evolutions and fates collide, read the pastebin for basic pack price ratios and try to get mostly high value packs.

If you have $80 to drop you can easily grab a pair of Shaymins online (in paper that $80 will buy you 2 shaymins and nothing else) as long as you buy pack codes intelligently and don't get stuck with a bunch of shit sets. Get SM, ROS and if you can find them, PLF codes. Trade ROS/PLF for the rare stuff and SM for the commons.

If you're willing to hold some of that value, May will be the best time to drop money on pack codes. the upcoming set is going to contain a key consistency card and as such will be very high value, and codes for a new set are super cheap in the first week of its release because of stores opening packs to build up their stocks of singles. The price on things like Shaymin plummets around new set time as well since people tend to store trade value in them.

The 3 boosters you will get are Primal Clash boosters. Primal Clash is not a particularly valuable set.

You are probably better off spending your tokens on Roaring Skies packs or Sun/Moon packs. You don't get the Ditto, but you have a chance at pulling some valuable cards.

Alright bros, I posted a raticate EVO BREAK list a few threads back and have slowly refined it into a killing machine, someone clued me in to slowking as the ultimate energy disruption partner for raticate. This is actually pretty similar to a list that was posted on pokebeach today so I'm not an absolute madman for thinking raticate was a good card.

Basically, your Jolteon is your main attacker, but can be swapped around with float stone raticates to remove key energies. Slowking can move energies off of key attackers and it's not uncommon for me to get both of them in one game which basically means their dogshit bench support is going to end up with 5 energy on it. Best thing is, you need energy switch or reset to get the energy off of them and very few decks run those cards, as opposed to putting the energy in discard where it can be recovered with retrieval/super rod/brock.

Between raticate, 4 hammers and funking, most evolution cards simply don't get the energy to be able to attack, and naturally basics can't do shit to Jolteon without ace trainer. Raticate cleans up in the late game when they've exhausted their special charges and have 3-4 special energy sitting in discard.

When you're in your collection looking at your packs, there's numbers underneath each pack showing you how many you have. The gray numbers with the lock next to them are how many trade-locked packs you have, and the other number is how many tradeable packs you have.

Feel free to open the trade-locked packs. They're useless otherwise and will just rot in your inventory forever. The tradeable ones, however, are used as community currency in this game. You trade packs for cards you want. Still, you obviously haven't opened with the Ultimate God of that deck: Spinda. Teeter Punch has literally been 6-0'ing the trainer challenges for me. I'll have a completely loaded and rarin' to go bench and just keep using Teeter Punch because the AI hasn't actually been able to kill Spinda yet.

Theme Decks are definitely fun, but they don't beat constructed play.

You need one to complete the trainer challenges. Some of the decks have cards that you might want to use in a real deck and you can buy multiple copies of the decks to get them, for example instead of spending 4 packs for a playset of babyvolcs or greninja-sts you can spend 1000 tokens for the theme decks which contain them, which is a way better deal.

Generally speaking, if it means you don't need to expend a tradable pack, effectively spending 2.5 no-trade packs to get even one card you need is a better deal.

It got one spot in top 32 at Anaheim. Decks like Houndoom Mill and Typhlosion BKT have gotten about as many placements in top 32 at previous events.

It's an okay deck, but it faces some serious problems. No good water type energy acceleration, requires 6 energy on the field to be fully effective, most variants can't do shit without at least 3 online, highly dependent on Manaphy's ability to operate at max efficacy so it gets shut down by garb, requires 3 energies on one pokemon which makes you very vulnerable to m-mewtwo and yveltal, and most importantly Lapras-GX is grass rather than steel weak which gives you very bad matchups against Vespiquen and Lurantis.
