Just got Keldeo from the locked booster, is it any good? Whenever I've gone against it, it seems to get Hydro Kick, get knocked out and then not enter the field again. I'm not expecting it to be as good as something like Mew, but Jolteon/Umbreon aren't performing as well as I'd hoped.

You're at such a huge disadvantage the entire time though. Cosmo plate is such horseshit. All my wins against 5x Deoxys have come when I go first and establish quick pressure.

Having 2 Deoxys S on your doorstep by the time you get your defense up that will happily swap to Deoxys A's who get build in bright powder is rough. It's not like it even takes effort to reestablish their pressure if you do get lucky on the purple spin.

Can anyone tell me what the merit in a full bug team is? I'm currently swaying between high 1900s and low 2000's and I keep seeing people running Heracross x2, Pinsir x2, Beedril x2. None of these teams ever do well, but is there something I'm missing/not understanding?

Sounds fine. It's not good until it hits Shell Smash, at which point it becomes great, but that's good for a Rare. 9/10, would use.

You underestimate the dodge & miss slice sizes that put the chance Genesect has of knocking out Yellow attackers low.
Over 50 of the wheel can't touch a Yellow attack.
Dodging is a technical win, but unless the attacker is desperate for a kill, it doesn't do anything but stall.

The turn I drop my Mew or Gren in front of a Genesect, they back off during their turn. You can't make that risk of wasting your attack half the time.
Not to mention that it gains Wait when it rolls it's charge.

It can do things for offence and defense, but it can't do either as good as other figures, so it's just outclassed.

(Zapdos also comes to mind, as another hard check.)

His versatility is what makes him good (as a defensive runner) because it becomes risky for an opponent to try fighting him.

of course zapdos will beat it a lot of the time, but you're comparing a 2mp mon to a 3mp one

As defense, it's low attack and large purple hider it as almost all the good runners can take care of it with the use of Double Chance and Yellow/High Damage.
As offense, it wastes turns far too much with over half the wheel doing nothing, and it's best attack reaching 100, usually 50, which good defenders crush.

You're only in a favorable attacking situation if your opponent can't position at all.
You're only in a favorable defending situation if your opponent doesn't have a strong offence.

I usually have not problem putting the opponent's lati@s in a bad position, but sometimes, if i'm not lucky or the opponent is super agresive, they will attack my goal defender with a double chance/X attack and lose to lati@s, and then i have to pray and cross my fingers that my next figure kills the fucker or lose the next turn.
Though once it's gone you pretty much have a huge advantage over the opponent

Yes something about the way you obtain figures is bad and kills playability. There should be a gambling system involved like with the TFG where you and your opponent put up a figure and whoever wins takes it.

or like you need 10 keys to get your daily booster pack. but instead of being locked for 24 hours it takes 20 keys to get the next one... then 40... until the next day it resets and it goes back to 10.

theres something really stagnating about the game... maybe it is that the meta is retarded and allows for almost no variety. Maybe we need "little cups" where you can only use common pokes and stuff like that.
