My husband had never played Pokemon when we first started dating. I bought him a DS and Platinum for Christmas and he got into battling for me. I just finished breeding and training our teams for the little online competition tomorrow. He always gets me a Pokemon plushie for special occasions. Today was a Kutari Pachirisu because Pachirisu was on my team in Gen 4 when we met. Last year I got a Flabebe because it's on a flower.

His favorite is Metagross because he's a programmer and loves the idea of a super computer being his best friend. Mine is Whimsicott because so fluffy.

Sometimes you just need to meet the right person and then introduce them to your hobbies and help them get started.
