So the one thing I'm not to excited about is the fact that Lillie moving infront of Vulpix to defend it is completely different from what happened in the games.

Lillie was weak for a majority of SM, for her to have the strength to defend Vulpix right from the start kind of bugs me since her starting towards her Z-Powered form started because she had to defend/save Nebby.

With Vulpix being the catalyst towards moving forward I seriously am starting to doubt a proper Nebby arc.

They can still do Nebby, Lillie still has the strongest connection to Aether and with Vulpix she will also have her own means to protect nebby.

To me giving her a little more than just dancel in distress opens up more possibilities.

Nebby could also be a little extra to push her towards actually acting against her mother if they do take the """"child abuse"""" from the games and added to the anime.

Nebby was really just as important as Lillie in the games.

I could potentially see a scenario I suppose where the class goes to Aether for a field trip, Lillie winds up lost and stumbles across the secret labs where testing is being done on Nebby and she starts having flashbacks/her memory returns, and she rescues Nebby. Using Vulpix as her Pokemon to defend herself.

That way we get Nebby, Lillie rescues it like the games, and we get more backstory.

Aether arc is so far away, more than likely until the back end of the series. It makes sense to give Lillie vulpix oterwise we would be in another mallow situation where she is just sort of there.

By the time we reach the aether arc with SM there could be a complete change in the plot specially if there is a third game being developed.

It's not awful, but it's really slow and uneventful and has an extreme need to do something interesting very soon.
The characters being uninteresting and rarely serving any kind of purpose is the biggest flaw with the show, really.
Story's for the most part non-existent as of now.
The humor is hit and miss, though it's been improving recently. The Kaki gag in today's episode was fun.

Noa is likely going to be a recurring character so I wouldn't say that she's a CoTD quite yet.

Something that's quite interesting in SM is a lot of the background characters make reappearances in different episodes.

For instance the cart driver from the Trial episode reappears in todays episode as well as the lady selling ice cream from the Sophocles episode appeared as well.

I'd say Jessica is still a best, her design was adorable.
