I got fucked by it. Yes, there are less people playing which means I can hold gyms for longer, but, at the same time, there are less people playing which means I can't get people to place Pokemon into the gyms I'm in so it gets taken over.

I never see anyone playing on my college campus yet the two gyms on campus rotate hourly. Even during winter break when there was 0 reason to be on campus I watched the two gyms change hands every couple of days.

So nothing really changed.

An Encounter Item?

This could be nothing (as all these 'Ambiguous' findings could be this round) but something was either re-written or added in regards to wild encounter items. New Item Type: Candy Award

The code has seen (and we've all used) item types that boost XP (lucky eggs) and item types called 'inventory upgrade' - and most recently we've seen an 'evolution requirement' item appear.

This time, however, a new item type has appeared called 'candy award.'

This leads us to believe a whole new class of items may be on the way that award (not boost) candy for something, perhaps relating to buddy achievements.... Exciting stuff either way!

Ive seen lots of anons asking about the Hitmons so maybe this info can turn into something useful and others can chime in on similar experiences. My work spawns hitmonlees (and chans) multiple times a week. I only check my phone 2-3 times while at work but when I do there is commonly one on the nearby if I haven't found it already.

My work has no gyms or pokestops on the entire visible map. It's a huge building (length wise, not super tall) and there are always people on site as it never closes (manufacturing plant). These hitmons aren't a nest, it has been like this since summer. With the large building and a good amount of people, there's usually ~10 mons spawned at once standing in one of the congested areas.

The commons that have always been around this biome are pidgey, ratata, paras, Mankey (tons and tons of these guys), meowth, venonat, abra, growlithe (less of these but still lots) and for the least frequent but still show a noticeable pattern: both hitmons (Lee probably twice as much as chan), tauros and koffing. (Koffing being the rarest of course). This is also the only place I have seen koffing reoccur.

I find Confusion to work better than ZH against vaporeons, the attack time weaves nicely between water guns. You just go attack > dodge > attack > dodge and so on.
If you only dodge charge moves, ZH is a lot better

He used to be rare for me too, but I had the Drowzee biome before the halloween event, and after that event, I got the mountain biome so jigglypuff and clefairy became common.
I never had the need to catch him to get the badges.

I have 325 Drowzee caught, I started ignoring him a bit before the halloween event. Most of them were caught in about 2 months of play.
If I did not started to ignore him, I probably would have caught around 600 of them. I'm pretty much convinced there are people with over 1000 Drowzee caught.

I'm a level 25 rural player without car. Where I live there is not a single Pokéstop accecible without car and the spawn points are few. I study in a town with 5000 citizens, this is where I play Pokémon GO. There are six gyms and maybe a 15 Pokéstops, spread over a large area. Nests does not exist here. However, my town is lucky with biomes. We've got a combined water and Clefairy/Nidoran biome, a small electric type biome and an ice biome. The only single-evoloution Pokémon I'm missing is Tangela, Schyther and Magmar, which is good, bearing in mind that the last two mentioned are not that rare. I'm far from getting Omastar, Kabutobs and Muk, Omanyte and Kabuto are nest Pokémon, so I'll just wait for one of the nests an hour away from me will turn in to one of those. But Grimer.. I've caught two, both in the same Electric/Zubat/Normal biome. But that's it. Considering this is a biome I spend a lot of time in, compared to the Clefairy biome for example, and that I've only caught two, I think it's too little evidence for making the conclusion that this is a Grimer biome. I havn't seen a Grimer here for months now either.

Questions: Is there such a place where Grimer is not concidered as rare? If yes, where? Have you caught a Grimer? If yes, where?
