My wife's daughter asked me what is the highest level player I have seen in a gym in my town. Tell her I don't know, I can't tell what level people are. She looks at me like I am the densest thing on planet earth , you know the look, and says of course you can, it shows in the gym behind their name.

Well I had never, ever noticed the background numbers behind the trainers name in the gym. And I have fought and trained over 2k times.

Fuck spoofers, but yeah, knocking down gyms is way easier and more satisfying. It's pretty much the only thing I enjoy doing in this game at this point. I still want a few pokemon like Muk, but there are no nests anywhere and I tired of walking 5 kms that will most likely never hatch a grimer.

Like I posted in the last thread I have 7 rural gyms locked down, everything else doesn't hold for more than a day regardless of its level so there's no point for me to try to get a gym from 22k prestige to 30k when it'll hold for 2 days max. It's easier to take down even a level 10 gym, especially if idiots have stacked it with dragonite, gyarados and rhydon, all of which are a breeze to knock out regardless of how high their CP is.

Answer to shitty dicerolls is rolling a ton of dice at once and praying your luck is at least average.

Haven't posted my Eevees in a while, and none of the Eevees are dusted, so it's not me.

I'm definitely going to max out every single one when I eventually get to evolving them but I'm going to wait until I see the movesets first.

Hahahahaha, the real reason I'm hoarding Eevees is because I gave up evolving Eevees after going 0-1-7 on Eeveelutions. My only vapes was my first good Eevee I wasted Rainer on, and wild catches that come once in a blue moon.

I have a stack of lv 35 Flareons as my top defenders. It's pretty sad.

A guy on TSR found out months ago that mons have seeds (just like for ivs so for movesets), he said to have a tool to find this seed and proved it by guessing all the moves of a friend's evolution.
If you think about it, a seed is the only smart way to create randomness (think about world creation in minecraft).

So doing what you are doing is useless. Your eevees already have their destiny written on their fronthead.
You are just risking of the code to change again (like by adding gen2 or by changing somethig else, mon related, like adding new mons/moves/etc) and even lower your chances.

If I were you I'd evolve all of them right now.
That's what I do as soon as I get a 91+%IV one.

I seem to have a biome at my workplace no one has discovered or, at least, mentioned. Here's my estimates on the percentages:
Rattata: 15%
Pidgey: 10%
Eevee: 10%
NidoranF, Oddish, and Venonat: 7.5% each
Exeggcute, Paras, and Caterpie: 5% each
and the rest is just random.

Biomes are a property of each spawn point, not a geographical area. You need to note exactly which point spawned which Pokemon at which time for better data.

Saving up enough coins for that initial batch of 25 eggs takes forever but once you buy it, you're pretty much set because unless you're autistically playing 24/7, you're going to run out of eggs after maybe like 3 months, which is plenty of time to buy some upgrades and more 25-packs.

I don't doubt that Niantic can't even do RNG properly and that it's possible to figure out their schema.

But until I see the tool, I don't really see the point in believing it.

Also it doesn't really change the fact that each Eevee has an effective random chance at a good moveset. Unless it's tied to solely the IV values, it doesn't really matter whether I evolve them now or later.

Just lucky wild catches. These days, I'm short on balls all the time so unless I'm farming stops, I save all my balls for wild Eevees so I might see some good Eevees. Been two months since my last good Eevee. Sucks for me.

I have never hatched a single fucking Eevee from an egg after the 5km switch. I hatched some shitty 10km Eevees, and one 5km Eevee on the day of the announcement, and never saw another Eevee in an egg since. I am convinced they don't exist in eggs anymore.

One thing I think is worth mentioning is that I used to basically get one good Eevee every 7-10 days, sometimes 2 in one day. Mainly because there were a couple spots near my work that regularly spawned high IV spawns.

But after the Hallowe'en spawn point switcharoo, I basically stopped getting any good Eevees (or any good wild catches). Been catching only sub-50% shit for a while. Found one a month after that, but that was my last one. It's like when Niantic generated the new spawn points, they basically set them all to be shit IVs because they set all of the new spawns as nest spawns in their misguided attempt to increase spawn variety.

The tool was never shared, and the seed was probably changed after some patches.
But this confirms that you can still get legacy movesets (many people did before anyway), explains why eggs are determined at pickup and why people sometime evolve the same mon in a mon with all the same datas (weight, height and movesets)

When the fuck did confusion / solarbeam become the best defensive moveset? Pyschic is worlds better imo esp because confusion /psychic look the same and are harder to differentiate ergo dodge.

Protip: a 66% eeveee can max out at more cp than a 84 % eevee.

The thing that matters the most is the attack stat. If it's 15, by all means power your mon up even if it has 64 % IV.

Actually what you are doing is smarter but I know for sure you are doing for the wrong reason: Basically, you are going for CP% instead of IV% which makes sense because atk iv are worth more than def/hp iv, so you are basically collecting high atk iv mons.

So you stand correct AS OF NOW, but if breeding/TM/PVP ever gets introduced you will regret the choice eventually as you wasted dust/candies on inferior mons (as cp only matters because decides the prder in gyms) while high Iv% mons will be worth even more than now.

My iv calc shows me what their final cp is gonna be, and I only take it if they are really close number (cp) wise. so even if atk weighs more, it doesn't matter, im still getting great outcomes. Here's my thing, not that anyone cares. Getting pretty sick of this game since I'm Mystic and every gym around me that's blue is a level 28 2800+cp guy on the bottom and they're always level 10 with no slots for me.

Luckily I just ordered a google data only SIM card so I can grab a spare phone with no service and knock out the bottom guys with a second Instinct account I'll start up.

I live in IL in the burbs. I've gone all over, rural areas, frequently go to Chicago, I just went on a trip to Iceland (where I got Mr. Mime).

I don't know how much more traveling I can do for this game. Sometimes me and my gf use half a tank of gas in my car in a week just going around catching shit and taking gyms.

"Hunters" are people using city-wide scanners and Twitter bots to pinpoint the exact location and IVs of Pokemon, then using a car to drive to their location. On multiple occasions, I have witnessed some random car recklessly driving down the road, illegally parking next to the exact location of the rare Pokemon that popped up on the nearby, then speeding off to the next Pokemon. Spoofers at least aren't endangering people's lives when they're cheating. It's annoying when some of these people still consider themselves legitimate players when they are doing the exact same thing spoofers are doing, except wasting more gas.
