My reasoning was that Koko is just as frail and for the most part has underwhelming damage output even after terrain+life orb. I've never used tapu koko as a main attacker anyways, so i thought maybe I could use a more supportive fast pokemon. Charm is a good defensive option, and Jolteon is almost always able to get one off. In a hypothetical 1v1 between the two jolteon is taking dazzling gleams from a base 95 attacker and hitting back with boosted thunderbolts so it'd likely win.
They sit at the same speed tier and generally lose to the same things (jolteon doesn't get one-shotted by all the poison stuff around now), so I really don't view it as a snowflake thing.
I think Koko is overrated unless your opponent has a time you need to overwrite. No way it should be at 30% usage.

You can even use After You on Stoutland for "speed control." Hell you have Trick Room sweepers with no way to set up Trick Room.

Dump Gigalith for Mandibuzz, have it carry tailwind and taunt. If you want a more offensive but riskier option you can run support aerodactyl.

Dump Stoutland for CB Metagross. Better synergy with Lele and Tailwind, if Lele isn't in play it can bullet punch, if Lele is in play it has super zen headbutts.

To prevent too much type overlap, dump Kartana for something else. Could use Garchomp here, a ground type would be nice on this team. I'd suggest Gastrodon as another option but you have Araquanid, and you have Arcanine so you likely don't want Krookodile. Mudsdale could be neat too but it's so fucking slow not even tailwind really helps it much.

Been climbing like crazy with this team on cart, I'm a little physical heavy but the return tech on PG2 is just too good to pass up. Helping Hand Arcanine is also something people don't usually expect, in conjunction with tons of really hard hitting moves of various types it blows holes in enemy teams. Disable Muk is another hilarious trick that lets me destroy choiced Lele. Made a new account with it on showdown and hit 1350 in a couple of hours of playing.

I like having the raw HP that running both sitrus and figy on the same team gives you too.

Celesteela/Koko are falling off a bit in favor of the new hottest memes but are still pretty good. People remembered Mandibuzz exists and is really good. People realized that even though Pheromosa is super frail, it's a super fast, super strong Z-move abuser that also has Lunge as a pseudo-intimidate. People woke up to Vikavolt being less bulky but more powerful Rotom-Bug. For some reason Europeans are disenchanted with Porygon2.

Garchomp, Porygon2, Arcanine is the trifecta that hits that sweet spot between raw strength, teambuilding efficiency and unpredictability that will keep them at the top well into worlds imo.

It really depends what you mean by a healthy metagame though. Technically speaking, a metagame in which more Pokémon are viable doesn't necessarily make the game more skillful or fun. If there is no standard meta, then there's no anti-meta either, and the game just becomes about getting lucky with matchups since nobody knows what to expect.
