Don't rush with evolving if you have lucky eggs. Wait until you have at least 70 mons on evolving queue and half an hour of free time, then use the egg and evolve your buddies like the Fist of the North Star. This way you get massive amounts of Exp.
Save your limited use free incubators (the blue ones) for 10km eggs.
Refrain from catching Pidgeys and Rattatas (and other common weak mons in your area) if you are low on balls or can't get them at a steady pace.
Only try to knock down rival gyms if they have very few Pokémon until you get a decent squad (which might get more than one mass evos).

The way PoGo calculates stats heavily hinders Pokémon with low HP and either low ATK or DEF in both fields. Onix only has good DEF and little to no HP to back it up, which makes it a pretty shitty mon despite its bulky looks and low catch rate.

Steelix has 75 base HP, it's not exactly Snorlax but it's pretty okay considering its very high defenses. It's close to Blastoise's HP stat ,actually.

It'll depend on its moveset. STAB Earthquake is really good, and typing might make it more useful than Rhydon and Golem for attacking.

Incense spawn the exact same thing that spawn around you. Incubators have a higher chance of giving you something rare, on top of giving you something with god IVs and a substantial amount of candy..
My dex is complete because of incubators.

I hit the max all the time at 500 especially when i was hording potions/revives for gym battling. Currently at 650 and i usually don't go over 550, probably gonna get one more just because 700 looks better lol

If you sort by name, Pokemon with an exclamation point at the start of their name will be at the top.

So I name all my evo spree shit with an exclamation point and then just sort by name when I'm doing an evo spree. I actually use dollar signs and use exclamation point for higher priority evolutions (e.g. high IVs, dex entries, etc.) so that I don't miss them but you get the idea.

I got rid of a lot of mons i had multiples of. Like slowbros, starmies, nodoking/queen with 1300-1600 that i never use anyway because i have better attackers and they're not useful for prestige.
