Currently training a Golisopod, and I can't decide on a fourth move. It's got First Impression, Liquidation, and Leech Life. Currently the last slot is taken up by Aqua Jet cause I bred it on, but I'm wondering if that slot wouldn't be better used for more coverage, or a different priority like Sucker Punch.

you probably need another special attacker on your team, or maybe something with utility or walling power, or both. if anything, i'd swap out luxray.

i made sure to have: a few status effects (salazzle, sableye, ninetales), a physical wall (sableye), a special wall (tsareena with assault vest), a few physical attackers (sableye, tsareena, azumarill), a few special attackers (ninetales, aegislash, salazzle), a mixed attacker (aegislash had shadow sneak and sacred sword), a hazard clearer (tsareena) and a priority move (azumarill).

i'm not an experienced teambuilder, but i tried to have a nice spread that's able to swap into attacks, weaken priority pokemon, revenge kill, and have good coverage and a little recovery.

yeah, if you want 6v6, you need to link battle

a number of the battle tree items can make or break important strategies, so i'd get a halfway decent team of 3 and get grinding. head over to battle tree general to see what other people are using.

Uh huh. It's really baffling why GameFreak hasn't implemented a 6v6 Battle Spot. I get that Battle Tree might be annoying against NPCs, but there's no reason not to have a 6v6 and 3v3 option for Singles in Battle Spot.

Yes. Absolutely. It's great on HO and Bulky Offense teams for wallbreaking, great for securing kills or surprise factor, great for clinching a needed Moxie/Beast Boost/Battle Bond.

Help out mons like Xurkitree (Z-Hypnosis, is it hits, makes Xurk impossible to stop, Z-Electric Terrain is really unexpected and great for laddering) and Porygon Z (do I need to say it?). Is a real interesting option for Belly Drummers. Fucking A-Persian/Pangoro/Silvally with Z-Parting Shot.

Nice applications in doubles, too - turns spread moves into monstrous single target nukes, especially EQ. Garchomp is especially evil with this due to Earthquake and Outrage, your two potential Z moves, having such dumb BP in the first place.

for a single pokemon on your team, yes. they can either be a surprise 1hko, a big heal after several turns of getting beaten on by a wall while setting up, or a solid stat boost. plus, since they partially pierce protect moves, you can blast a weakened wall or protect spammer to finish them off when they think they're safe

Good fight, dude. I'm surprised Muk put in as much work as it did. I'm no expert battler myself, but if I had any advice, it would be not too get too attached to those Swords Dances; Aegislash is a powerful Pokemon, but just because it's at +6 doesn't mean it's going to one-shot everything.

I clearly overestimated Arcanine myself. That Never-ending Nightmare came out of nowhere and took me completely by surprise. It's good to see Z-Moves being used for that sort of thing, instead of just Z-Conversion shenanigans or what have you.

Believe me, I've been in that situation before. I'm not a good competitive player. I once got swept from turn one by a goddamn Delphox.

If I had anymore advice for you, it would be simply to pay attention to what poked a hole in your team. Don't get too attached to stat boosts, like I said, and more importantly, don't be afraid to lose Pokemon. It's not worth it to switch to something else if that's just going to ruin your momentum. This is all coming from how I've lost in the past.

I apologize if it wasn't fun for you. I guarantee you everyone here has swept someone with one Pokemon, and in turn gotten swept in the same way. It'll get better as you battle more, and nothing beats the satisfaction of a good prediction.

And props for using Mismagius. I've never seen it used by anyone, ever. Keep representing your buddy.
