Titleid is the same as the original CIA that used the new VCs (00F73400), so you can just install over it and it wont affect the activity log, but keep in mind the save WILL BE DELETED so be sure to backup it first with your favorite save backup program, and start it once after you install and then restore your save.

I've checked the event flags for anything to do with Mew, but I don't see anything explicitly set aside for it. There's also not one for Mewtwo, since that's also unavailable in the game. There are a lot of unmarked event flags though, maybe some of them are unused.

There IS an event marked for Zapdos, though, so you could add a Zapdos really simply to an area like the Power Plant.

There are some areas in Rijon (the region from Brown, it's available as something post-League similar to Kanto in GSC) that aren't finished. There are also a handful of Pokémon you can't catch (the ones off the top of my head are Zapdos, Mew, Mewtwo, Snorlax, and Carnivine, and Eevee can't evolve into Sylveon because it doesn't learn any Fairy-type moves by accident).

I'm more worried about where exactly Mewtwo would go if we tried unofficially adding him. I think it would be good to try and keep some sense of style when adding these. Zapdos has the Power Plant, Mew has the incomplete Faraway Island, but I don't know about Mewtwo. In Brown, Mewtwo was found in an underground cave in Eagilou Park, but there's no such location in the park in Prism.

You can get a sacred ash from the item square, there's one early on the board and that's pretty cool. Sacred ash revives your whole party. Otherwise, the final prize, shiny ball, you can get otherwise: Completing pokedex - once we have patches for it - should give you 20 shiny balls.

Tower anon here again, back from work, now with a name.

It looks like most of the hard work is literally already done. We just need to figure out how to create the entry in the battle tower. This is so copy/paste we could potentially get something working in the next couple days. I'm gonna sleep on this and then pour through the source some more.
Step 1: dump everything regarding the battle tower.
Step 2: Copy/paste functions to victory
Step 3: figure out which flags we need to trigger to allow the game to track that the player actually beat spark/blanche. We can get a good start by examining Candala's battle tower encounter.

You don't need talent to help, just gumption and a drive to make the game better. The more of us work together, the more likely we are to collectively figure it out.

In regards to standardized notes in the source...
double semicolon sounds good, just make sure to note your name/screenname and if possible, date and reference the current thread for timestamping purposes.

For now lets keep our notes on the google doc, just for the sake of keeping everything in one place. I made a new tab called "Battle Tower Project" that I'll be adding to in the morning, feel free to start dumping anything that seems relevant.

Remember; you don't need to be talented, just determined. Let's make prism the game it was meant to be, together.

If you delete the cheats and reload the game your save will be once again virign. Unless you accidentally save your messed up cheated file - then you are SoL.

Anyway any save state can be used for that.

And you don't need to redownload the ROM. It's called Read Only Memory for a reason.

Update on the battle tower
I am exhausted and cannot check, but I need someone to run through battle tower a few times and encounter candela and tell me if she only has Torkoal (Debug map group 91)
Don't bring the debug team, they get instawalled by a mismagius I've had show up no less than 9 times in the 30 minutes I've been at this (they only carry Aura Sphere, Drain Punch, and EQ)

IF I AM CORRECT and Candela only has the one mon, adding the other leaders may be as easy as moving a single line of code down about 20 rows.

This is actually newer than the TPP version.

"Near final" means exactly what it says on the tin, the game was 4 days from launch and it has some issues. Most of which we're in the process of fixing. The game is done, and can be played, but several (mostly postgame) features are missing or broken. Specifically several mons have broken evolutions (Milotic, and Sylveon, though the latter has been since fixed) and The battle tower doesn't have all three of it's tycoon, rendering one of the bingo cards uncompletable (Literally working on this as we speak)

there are a few other minor issues but it's all being smoothed out. The game works 99.99% correctly. Enjoy yourself.

I know VBA can run GBC games since I played crystal on it just fine, yet when I try to load the prism rom all I get is pic related and I can't do anything.

Ok, full details on battle tower as I understand them.

Not only do Candela, Blanche, and Spark all exist in equal measure in the source, but there's actually a second "gold" version of the encounters which include the legendaries their teams are based on, supposed to be much harder.

All of these are, by all appearances, perfectly functional and implemented in the same page, with one exception.


If you read the battle_tower_new.asm (source/data/battle_tower_new.asm) the function begins with "BTMonStructStart:"
However, "BTMonStructEnd:" appears literally two lines below this, in the middle of Candela's first team. Meaning if the encounter with Candela only includes the one mon, Torkoal, the appears between the start and stop, it means that the entire missing Tycoon fiasco is a typo. That or somehow the other tycoons are horribly broken in a way not obvious to me and crash the game and they were pulled out clumsily for debug purposes.
Either way, a field test is the next step.
Keep your fingers crossed for completable endgame content with minimal external effort.

Get the fluffy coat from prison and go to the ruins where you got the fake id and there should be a ice area which you couldn't go before since it was too cold. You should end up in phlox town. Also the legendary is broken so ignore it.

I encountered some glitches in Hayward City. I also couldn't move after defeating the Pallet Patroller, since my character's sprite wasn't there (pic related). I used Fly and everything went back to normal though.

Unless you have the fast-RTC-clock patch that is floating around in these threads, the clock will always advance painfully slowly. Either get that patch or leave your game idling for literally hours to change to the desired time, but it'll never be synced with real time.
