>Ratta and Koratta are laying waste to the island's fields. Satoshi immediately tells Hala he will be attempting the Island Pilgrimage, but Hala tells him he needs to be tested to make sure he is qualified for the pilgrimage first.

It's from the Pokénchi Christmas special from this past weekend. It featured Nicolun, the Nagareboshi Santas, and child ice-skater Miyu Honda. There were some games that they played to win presents that the Santas brought to the house though in the end they just gave the house the rest of the presents anyway and Abareru-kun had a brief segment to kick off his Anime Cheerleading Project. Next week Abareru-kun starts doing a Sun/Moon-themed trade journey, much like the one he did on Get TV.

The thing about Pikipek is that he should have caught it by now, this is the longest Ash has gone without catching the regional bird.

Toucannon also doesn't have the appeal that the other regional birds had and isn't as marketable.

Mudbray is unlikely since there isn't a lot it can do movement wise in battle, Hakamo-o is a possibility I guess if they decide to give Ash another dragon, and as for Alolan Pokemon none really fit with Ash. The one that would fit his battle style the most is Marowak but thats going to Kaki.

Because Toucannon doesn't have the appeal of the other birds. Had Pikipek evolved into a slim, dynamic bird Pokemon then yeah he would have gotten one. But look at Toucannon, that doesn't look like a marketable Pokemon. It doesn't look fast or powerful, it's like if Ash had been given a Wingull instead of Tailow.

Hakamo-o is a possibilty, but Mareanie I doubt considering it and its evolution doesn't leave much for battles in the future animation wise.
