Anyone ever hear of a problem when Pokemon Go causes a phone to crash?

If I turn the game on then I have about 10 minutes before my phone completely shuts down and will not restart until plugged in (HTC M8).

I don't have a lot of stops in my city so I'm always running out of balls and can't just catch everything all the time.
To make matters worse they're far from my house.
So I mass evo at 20 mons or so, what else can I do?

How high/low is the chance that Niantic will implement some option that enables switching between gen1 and gen2 mons when the second gen is out?
Most people already have a hard time ever finding some of the less common gen1 mons,considering that everything is random. Finding some specific gen1 mon you were still missing when the overall pokemon numbers are doubled makes it fucking impossible unless they change the spawn rates of rare pokemon once in a while.

I kinda like the idea, but maybe instead of one per day for the entire world, maybe one per day per sate/province/district/area that moves in a specific pattern.

For instance: One bird spawns in the upper peninsula of Michigan once a day and flies throughout it all day. Another bird would spawn in Ohio and fly through it all day, etc.

Guess a positive of living in the UK is how crowded our towns and cities are.

There's 3 gyms within a 2 minute walk from my house, 6 poke stops in a park that takes 2 minutes to walk the length of, and tons of stuff around.

I often go on late night walks for an hour just catching shit and stocking up. Must be annoying living in a very open place that needs driving to get around
