I've been farming Destiny Knots and Bottle caps at the same time. Just grab 5 Pickup mons, sit at any rock and cast out over and over. Kill anything that pops up, harvest knots, fish up caps.

When I was playing the through the game I didn't realize that the balls oak give you were going to be rare, so I've got a turtonator in a heavy ball I can potentially breed out some of those, but they don't seem particularly good.

Nah, just doesn't work that way senpai. When either holds a destiny knot, 5 IVs pass down instead of the usual 3. Those 5 IVs are taken from one parent or the other 50/50. So it is useful to sometimes switch the everstone and destiny knot if the ditto has the right nature.

Mimikyu is helpful because of disguise+SD. You can get a Life Orb in a cave near the battle tree.
I use Nihilego and Pheromosa since they're solid as fuck for the most part.

Re: ability evolution, yeah, that's how it works. If you use serebii it lists the preevolution abilities and they evolve into the ability in the evolved form in the same position in the list of abilities. In particular, hidden abilities always evolve into hidden abilities.

Yesterday I received a beast ball 4 IV female Gible with Outrage and Sand Veil from wondertrade. How would I go about salvaging it? Should I try for a Rough Skin male with shit IVs and just breed them until I get the ball, HA, and outrage, and then breed that with my 6 IV ditto until the IVs max out?

I haven't done any breeding until SuMo, so I'm new to this...

Is Level 3 Isle Avue worth it for hatching eggs? It seems to take much longer, but then there's the plus of just being able to throw 18 spare eggs in there for whenever.
