As you know, the new base stat evaluation formula gives higher CP to Pokemon who were previously in the shitcan because they specialised in Physical or Special, but the side effect is that Pokemon that were already strong in both also got bigger CP which is why Vapes and Dragonites have higher CP too.

But this also meant that some of the legendaries climbed the rankings too, kicking off previous Top 20 contenders like Tyranitar (#17), Dragonite (#19), and Salamence (#20) while also hilariously, Slaking went straight to the top.

For comparison, Slaking used to be:

I have been making some tests like leaving enemy gyms in the brink of falling (bellow 1000 of prestige) and seeing what happens and it is more likely that a Valor would train it up than a Mystic to take it down. Mystic are not the most numerous team, they are the most hardcore team going all over the city taking multiple gyms so they end up with more gyms than other teams.

Between the first Halloween event and this one I've jumped from lvl 16 to 28, but my selection of pokes is really poor. We have tons of pidgey, weedle and eevee but I don't even have enough candy for things like Arcanine. I have a gyarados but that's because I walked my karp for 380 candies for Halloween. I've given up on lapras and snorlax but I do have a 95% dratini I'm walking now. I hatched that on Halloween and I only ever seen 3 others but it kills me to know I'll be walking it for a while since I only have 89 candies and it's just level 16.

I do think they'll have individual nerfs for certain Pokemon though, particularly Blissey and Slaking
As it stands, Blissey has the most combined stats of all Gen I-II Pokemon including legendaries, and has more defense and nearly double the HP of Snorlax
A max level Blissey will probably almost impossible to kill desu

Right now as it is, a level 40 Blissey will be 2753 CP / 403 HP to 3219 CP / 414 HP.

I reported the same guy twice while ago, then a few days ago I got two captchas to sign one after each other. Since then, the spoofer I reported has been nowhere to be seen (he was active practically every night), and I think (and hope), the captcha was to do with Niantic actually responding to reports.

I was in a bus and the game bugged when I clicked a pokemon so I closed the app and opened it again but them it loaded the character, the map but not the gyms/stops/pokemons so I closed it again and opened it again, since the game is buggy I ended up having to do it again and them I got the captcha, probably because me logging multiple times while in a bus looked like a scanner bot.

I think I hatched about 190 when I got my first Snorlax.
For Lickitung I lucked out and got one very early, within my first 10 hatches I think.

Nah, I hatched one Lapras a while ago and found a few snorlaxes in the wild. Also got Chanseys in the wild and even a Dragonite (shitty lvl 1 Dragonite but still a dragonite) Also I hatch a lot of pikachus while my friends who hatch snorlaxes struggle to get a raichu.

Proposed new gym system:
Defeating an enemy gym and placing your pokemon in it guarantees you the top spot in the gym. The gym leader always remains the same until the entire gym is defeated. This gives an incentive to be the one defeating gyms and claming the first spot rather than only tagging into other friendly gyms.

The order pokemon are in the gym is based on the order they are put in the gyms, with a first in, first out type system. So whenever you put a pokemon in a gym, you get the second highest spot (after the leader). This is to ensure a constant rotation of players in gyms rather than the top ones always being the same while the lower ones rotate around as they get knocked out.

Other possibilities: ordering by prestige
Obviously not viable and whoever thought of it should have been fired long ago: ordering by CP when each pokemon has different max CP. You might as well have a flat out pokemon segregation ranks like that "dragonites at the top, poliwraths at the bottom"

Please present flaws or adjustments to the system and I'll give counterarguments if necessary

Personally I would remove putting your pokemons in gyms entirelly and make them battle vs npc mons while adding pvp battles.

So you have to defeat an entire row of npc mons (with strenght based on the player lvl) to defeat a gym rewarding you 10 coins and you can't battle the same gym in a certain amount of time so you have to look for another one with a max of 100 coins per day. So since victreebel had similar attack/sp attack and def/sp def he rounded out to having good GOattack and GOdefense with the old formula that favoured mixed stats

with the old base stats conversion, victreebel had 160 stam, 222 attack, 152 defense
with the new conversion formula he has 160 stam, 207 attack, 138 defense

the new formula favours specialised stats. as a result, pokemon like victreebel and arcanine (mixed attackers) got GOnerfs, while specialised mons (rhydon, alakazam, golem etc.) got GObuffs

my point is they didn't actually look at any individual mons (except for lapras so they didn't hurt the promo number bump because he would have been nerfed too)

the problem still exists though big time
when you look at someone like rhydon, his attack went from 166->222
and his defense went from 160 ->206
his real stats have high physical attack and defense, but really low special attack and special defense
in the real games, the attack is fine. you obviously would only use physical moves with him
BUT for defense, you can't just factor his physical defense and ignore his special defense, which is basically what the new conversion does. In real games he would be targeted with special attacks as much as possible, and because POGO ignores that, he now sits near the top of the CP pile where he doesnt actually belong

basically this type of simplification and conversion is an even bigger fuck up than gen 1's combination of special attack and special defense, which was fixed long ago, and yet niantic can't learn from a 20 year old mistake (also holy shit gen 1 was 20 years ago)

It's cold and raining here in LA and I was already comfy watching TV when I decided to check my scanner one more time when I saw a Snorlax nearby. So I decided to fuck it and go and catch it. Not bad moveset despite the bad IVs.

Finally got some 90%+ Eevees again this week. The stupid spawn point reshuffle basically killed off the usual high IV % spawns or something, went on a dry spell since the Halloween event started but now my Eevee hoard is at 14 / 18 good Eevees before I do a massive evo spree and dump all my star dust into them for the following three months or something.

Not really sure if I should be happy that I'll probably not get 4 more before Dec. 7th, or sad. On one hand, more chances at decent Espeons and Umbreons if the Gen II Starbucks Pokeymans memo wasn't fake, on the other, less chances for good Vaporeons and Jolteons with good movesets. And collecting another 18 Eevees at this rate is probably going to be impossible since every single egg Eevee I hatched so far (10km or 5km) was under 80%.

Lots of places have different shit shuffled around.I dont get any Caterpie and Weedle in my area either but they are common on the North side. I also kniw that Geodude Growlithe and Mankey spawn like crazy in the South West and fucking Dubai while none of them are swimming in Jynx like I am

Taking down gyms before the gym update was really easy because a solo person might take like 5-6 Pokemon on average, with a buddy, they could probably sweep a 10-mon gym every time.
