Man, I was also getting close to maxing my 90% FF/FB Arcanine. It was just about to pass my maxed Vaporeon in CP.

It's less of a problem for grassmons since they're bad defenders anyways, and can still take out Vapes just as easily, but Arcanine was useful for putting in high spots in high-level gyms because of it's big CP. Now it's just a slightly bulkier Flareon that'll sit snugly at the bottom of any gym you put it in, ready to get taken out by any Vaporeon that passes by.

That should've meant that you started a fight when there was somebody else also fighting it but it should've also meant that your Pokemon took a good chunk of damage just from entering.

Example: I start a fight against a Snorlax, he deals like 100 damage to me total. Somebody with a Magikarp drops in to help while I'm not done, the game applies all 100 damage to the Magikarp too because that's how drop-ins are handled.

Should I be happy with this?

One is 634 CP (level 29) 11/12/2
The other is 550 CP (level 23) 15/15/10
Do I evolve the second one? The first would be easier and doesn't even need walking, but there's a big difference in CP once evolved. I already have a 98% Dragonite.

There is a way to turn off the screen and keep the game on
Just turn on accessibility, then turn on dark screen
To turn it off you gotta go to settings (with accessibility on) and turn it off though, so it's not optimal for walking around with it if you want to catch mons or get stops (and you gotta learn to use it as a blind dude, but it's pretty easy)

The problem is when you're doing mass evolve sessions with 2-stage evo mons. If I have 2 mons in the highest tier, I want to know which one to spend the extra 50-100 candies on. I compared my 89% Nidorino to a 'best of them' Nidoran with just appraisal and on Nidoran I got 'battles with the best of them' and then he said HP and Def we're "the best he's even seen"
Therefore I know the VERY smallest distribution I'm looking at is 6/15/15 which I'd prefer to my 11/12/12 Rino.

Level 29 and I still havent seen/caught a grimer zzzz as well as Lapras and aerodactly.

Well guys, after my 6 mile run tomorrow I will have enough to mass evolve and get to level 30. After hitting that I will not open the app again, that was my goal.

dragon pulse (without stab) and hydro pump (with stab) tend to be pretty on par as defending moves on gyarados
dragon pulse may be preferred because its used more frequently than hydro pump which is also notoriously easy to dodge
twister is the only bad one to get for both attacking and defending

hydro pump is better for attacking than dragon pulse, but it doesnt make sense to use gyarados as an attacker when you could just be using a vaporeon/golduck/starmie or any other good watermon

From what I experienced, that seems to be the case for every one-charge move on the defending side, like hyper beam or solar beam. It's just easy to predict and dodge it, 2 to 3 charges attacks are preferable.
