I was able to beat Battle Royale enough times to get the Idol Stance using shit IV Metagross, Mimikyu, and Magnezone and get enough points for the Destiny Knot. I don't see why it matters anyway when the AI is still stupidly easy to abuse. It doesn't matter, just make sure you kill the original one eventually or it will struggle and kill itself after running out of PP.

It's most important to get the enemy pokemon down to RED because that's what makes calls for help successful.

Chaining dittos is different/more difficult so I could write a guide on that if you want.

There are a couple reasons.

-It has only 20 PP (Transform copies only 5 PP of each of your moves) so it starts struggling quickly. This necessitates a Heal Pulse mon or something similar

-Transform copies every stat except for HP. That means if you fuck up and accidentally leave the wrong team member in, you'll be dealing with your own level 68 Solgaleo attacking you with all your same moves and same offensive stats.

These 2 factors require using pokemon of various strength levels so that you have multiple layers of safety nets, and also you need to make sure you don't give ditto any kind of annoying status move or healing move.

You have to get mildly lucky and find a ditto holding item first though

I finished catching them all yesteryday and it was really only an issue for Xuritree and even then, his sp,atk is so high his beast boost always boosted sp.atk so I didn't need to do this plan anyway.

Beast balls make catching them piss easy so it's barely a factor unless you want to catch them in normal balls.

How integral is it for Xurkitree to have HP Ice? I have been trying to get it, to no avail.
I'm unsure if Xurkitree will even be on my team or if he will be an important part of the VGC`17 meta.
He has a limited movepool and slowish speed so I'm not sure if it's even worth going to all this trouble to get it with HP Ice.

I question his viability but I went for HP Ice on both (one modest, one Quiet) due to his shit movepool. It actually wasn't that bad, you just have to accept that you will almost definately need to hyper train him.
