Lucky eggs are pretty pointless after level 20 or so. I guess you can probably evolve like 70k exp worth of Pokémon per half hour, so that means you got 35k exp out of your lucky egg (since the other half you would've gotten anyways). When it costs 200+k per level up it's just not worth it.

What I'm saying is, anyone who ever spent coins on a lucky egg should have spent it on incubators or maybe lures.

Besides, once you're midway through the 20s that extra level won't even matter that much. 2000CP or 2100 CP won't make the difference when battling gyms, it might have some influence on how long you can hold them I guess, but not that much.

Woke up, checked radar. Magmar and a Vulpix spawned right on my place. Magmar has good stats, shit CP but I needed it for dex anyway.

It's actually hard to walk in the city I live in, since I live in the ass-end of nowhere in it. But there's two gyms within walking distance. Me and pokegf trade places in it every other day with three instinct players who live across the road.

It's kinda comfy seeing the same people. They keep trying to sue the same shitty treemen and snorlaxes though. At this point we just put fucking pidgeys in and walk away.

Day 135

For the first time since launch my local sextuple lure spot had none of its stops lured. Rare Pokemon, including Chansey, tend to spawn there when the lures are active but today there was just regularly-spawned Staryu. I hatched a 2km egg and got a Zubat. I found a 1500 CP Dragonite after I got home but it ran away after three throws. Not a huge loss.

I still do not have a Chansey.

So I lost a rare Pokemon spawn because of the fucking sightings bug where having 9 shitmon species nearby bumps the rare Pokemon off the Sightings box making triangulation impossible.

Anybody know what the actual radius for the Sightings box is? Trying to Google it gives me a lot of bullshit and speculation from shit like the Daily Mail instead of real informative links. If I'm going to start dealing with this until Niantic fixes it (haha) I need to know how much area I need to cover to brute-force finding the Pokemon that get shoved off the Sightings box.

Also, does anyone know how long the spawns last? Is it back to 15 minutes like usual or is it still 30 minutes now?

Going to be honest, when I started powering this guy up, I thought it'd just be a meme and he wouldn't be as useful as my Water Gun / Ice Beam failures.

But he can actually 1v1 Dragonites double its CP and win, it's kind of great.

I never knew Dragon Breath could be so spammable. Just mash that screen like crazy. Only gripe is how slow Blizzard is so Dragon Pulse Dragonites make it hard (but not impossible) and I have to mash charge that meter faster than a Hyper Beam Dragonite can so I get a good dodge window.

Probably can't take on 3k+ CP Dragonites but those don't exist in my area. Mystic spoofers don't seem to bother as long as they're higher than the Snorlax and Lapras walls.

I use a 30~% Venusaur to take down gyms and he does a great job. My 4atk Jolteon is pretty beastly too.

Moveset is king in this game.

I was in your same situation, but just went on with Blastoise and Kabutops as finding 90+% of these guys could require months, and in that time I would find the candies for them anyway.

Yeah, it has double grass type which is why I powered it up, as all my grass types either have Poison or Psychic basic moves
