you spent 3 hearts once you start survival
then you have 10 moves to defeat stage 1. once you defeat the stage you get to stage 2 and get 5 turns. So ideally you have 14 moves for stage 2. This goes on till level 50.
The stages are chosen randomly between 001-150. However some stages are set, like M-audino for 3 or M-Mewtwo for 50.

After some levels you get items, for example RML or level-up for the first time. And second time prizes are always Exp boosters. For example you get a big exp booster once you defeated mewtwo a second time (so got to 50).

And in order to reliable farm survival you need to get itemless to around stage 40. And even better when 50.

50 stages * 20/30 hearts are 1000/1500. And on mobile getting 1000 coins in 3 hearts is somewhat good thx to bullshit meowth + all that additional exp you get in boosters

Should I be using Melo for the escalation stages 190+ (yeah yeah I'm still doing it, I wasted time before trying to do Survival with M-Bee and the Risktaker trio but I suck balls, didn't even manage to get Machamp to SL5), or should I be using Absol instead of Gengar?

176-199, team that didn't fail me once:

M-Banette (9), Meloetta (1), SS Gengar (spookify helps inspire some big damage in the high 190s), Giratina-A/Hoopa-C. Darkrai is worthless here bc if cutie falls asleep, you're stuck having brought a worthless NVE mon. M-Banette creates big combos on these stages. Just be sure to trigger Mega Boost to get it online quick.

Yes. After your DD runs out, you get overrun with blocks very quickly if you can't take them out, which renders M-gengar ineffective. Having two BS+ means you have a better shot at a 4 match and not relying on a 50% chance
