Day 130

I saw a four-strong Electabuzz cluster spawn today. Only one of them had the right CP for prestiging but it had bad moves. I hatched another Porygon from a 5km egg, along with a Krabby, Voltorb, and Oddish. I almost have enough candies for two Porygon 2 when Gen 2 comes out. I finally got another 10 km egg so I hope I get lucky with that.

I still do not have a Chansey.

Since the event ended Go has been crashing my phone a lot more often. And I mean my whole phone as in it completely freezes and can't do anything and I have to manually restart it. It seems to do it randomly for no reason. Has anyone else been experiencing this?

My phone is a Kyocera Hydro wave and it had been running go completely fine before this, expect for having to close the app sometimes because the gps stops working which I've seem a few other people complaining about.

Well that's how you know it's a perfect IV Pokemon, and not just "worthwhile". Also it's a 0.5% chance to get a perfect Pokemon from an egg, which is 1/200. Don't wait for perfect Pokemon unless you have infinite patience/autism.

Appraisals help me prune out lower IV Pokemon early instead of waiting until I get home to plug into the spreadsheet.

Nah Niantic blocked that until the last 90 seconds of a pokemon despawning.

I've got a hacky way around it though, if my site ever finds a correct timer <90 then it saves that spawnpoint correctly so then the next mon that spawns there will have the correct time.

Question might be more suited to /g/, but what's a good recent phone for this game?

Looking to replace my old ass Galaxy Note 4 with a new phone in the next week or so and I've somewhat narrowed it down to these three;

- ZTE Axon 7 $350
- Motorola Z Force $650
- LG G5 $400

The latter two have easy replaceable batteries (Moto Mod with the Z Force) but the Axon pretty much has top-end specs for a bargain price.

Might as well throw out some of those Arcanines as well, unless those are the ones you regularly put in gyms and revive afterwards. I only have 300 pokespace, will probably expand to 350 tomorrow after cashing it, but even the 250 limit usually didn't impose much troubles. The things I use my storage for is:

- Fully evolved mons with the best attacking set. If other movesets have their merits, I keep a copy of those too.
- Mons with duplicate moveses from lucky egg hauls that I plan to put in gyms and transfer them once they return.
- Mons that I'm planning to evolve.
- Wild mons that I use to fill gyms or train with
- Evolved/Single stage mons that are rare to get and might be useful if trading becomes a thing
- Single stage mons that I've yet to evolve with the buddy system

It's your storage so you get to decide what to keep, but I'm always amazed by people who has significantly more space than me and still complains about lack of room. :V

If that was a rival gym I would have scraped 5000 prestige off. If I spent 10+ minutes boosting a fucking level 3 gym, it would take an additional 30 seconds for someone else to knock it out.

I always check out what's in a gym as I'm going, favorite the optimal team so that they're on the top of my list and usually get 1.5-2k per round. It's not rocket science.
If you lack decent low CP attackers, evolve some Bite/HB Raticates, they're perfect for training.

Finally got myself a low cp Bellsprout, gonna try it out against my 28 CP Bubble Horsea and see if the Bubblestrat still holds up. Shame that it now takes considerably longer since I need to select 6 mons instead of just one (when they're going to change it so that the game autoselects all mons below/closest to the defending CP while training is beyond me), but hey, no need to waste pots while doing it if it works out.

Incense is identical except only you see the incense spawns while lure spawns can be seen/caught by others too.
There are extra spawns that are generated a minute after every X meters you walk while the lure's up.

Lure farming only worthwhile if either
(a) You keep dumping money to Niantic
(b) You are using bots
(c) You are leeching off of somebody else's lure(s)

If you got 8 Pokemon out of one lure, you came out ahead.

My problems with weedles are:
(a) I never have room to keep them
(b) can't usually evolve and chuck on spot because they spawn with other, better mons

I hate having no room and no excess coins for lucky egg to get rid of 90% of what I've hatched since the event.

Anyone here in the 30s and do non lucky egg evolutions? I seriously have 649/650 mons, no rats or pidgeys but enough evolutions for 2 lucky eggs of just 5km hatches/catches
