The puzzle of this gym would be wading through a maze of plushie mountains. The trick to avoiding trainers would be to pay close attention to which "plushies" occasionally blink or move a little, as those are actually real Pokémon, and when you pass in front of them they jump out at you and their trainer challenges you to a battle.

This one would feature only triple battles (unless the challenger has no badges, in which case it's just a double battle) and is inspired by cats, mice and dogs supposedly being enemies, but in this gym they work together as a team.

IDK, I picked my favorite Poison types and moths + flowers + snakes just gives me a very decadent / luxurious feeling, so I want with some sort of perfume factory full of strong smelling toxic fumes.

And last but not least, my mixed types team featuring my top 6 favorite Pokémon. The thing that ties then together is that they're all cute and pretty, so that's the theme. The gym would be a an art school + Contest training center to hone Pokémon and Coordinator performance skills.

I wish I knew how to program so I could make this into a easy-to-use site like Pokécharm's Trainer Card Maker.

Tried my hand at it. Gym leader is a rich,fat, greedy casino owner who pretty much runs the city. The gym resides within the Game Corner (bring back pls), and you have to fight trainers with randomized battle effects to make it to the leader. Gym trainers can be fought in Singles, Doubles or Rotation, a random weather or terrain effect can appear at the start of a match, or either side may win a held item to give to their Pokemon before a match.

The Gym Leader is fought in a rotation battle, and uses Embargo to make himself extra annoying.

Thoughts? Good idea or bad?

Redone replacing the original Deino line with Jangmo'o for multi-gen flavor, replaced Flygon with Garchomp in Full Team, and exchanged Mega-Zard X for Kommo'o and gave myself Mega Latios for sng. Also decided to re-make the badge with line tools and give it a name.

Round 2!

The city this gym is located in is deep within a mountain. All energy that runs through the city comes from its gym- a massive coal mine that doubles as a forge. The gym leader is hardworking but brash, caring little for challengers who can't beat her. She always leads with her Nintetales who has Drought and a Heat Rock to set up the weather for the rest of her team.

I have no art skills so no custom badges- the sprites I'm using are just to give a general idea of what the badge might look like.

My gym would be located in a haunted mansion. It would be a maze with furniture moving around (ghost pokemon moving the furniture). there are no trainers in the gym but you battle wild haunters, rotoms and shuppets. Before you fight the gym leader you must beat the totem gengar.

anyway basically it'd be a fighting gym similar to those gyms maylene and brawly have, but with your pokemon themselves needed to pass tests of strength in order to proceed (nothing too strenuous mind, don't wanna go overboard).

badge is probably something generic like "muscle badge" or something, ace being primeape (would be unevolved if first or second gym, though always has brick break. starting from 5th it'll have close combat)

Yes they are powerful but they have multiples and can be used on a full team. It's not really a champion team so much as a "no league-imposed limits".The restriction to minor legends has more to do with lore and "realism" than it has to do with battle power.

Players would hop around on huge floating Minior replicas, cracking them open to reveal the colors in a specific order, which is on the back wall. If players open the wrong color, they have to restart with the colors randomized. There's a trainer on each one that will tell you the color before you open it if you beat them.
As far as in-battle strategy, the later ones consist of getting Sand Stream up to boost my Rock-types SpDef, with Alolan Golem able to fire off Electric-type moves for Water-types (including Explosion). Minior can Shell Smash with Acrobatics and Stone Edge. Instead of White Herb, it actually carries Power Herb Solar Beam to help with the Ground-type problem while still being able to boost Acrobatics.

The gym is based around climbing an indoor "mountain". The less badges you have, the less you have to climb. To reflect this, the Pokemon the gym leader uses are from increasingly high elevations (such as Crabominable appearing at the "peak" of the mountain).

They're not being used on gym leader teams.
The template allows them to be used for "full" teams, equivalent to a Champion or Frontier Brain, or just a master trainer. Of course, we are free to think we'd be powerful experienced trainers in the Pokémon world. This is all hypothetical.

If someone wants to be "realistic", then go make a regular trainer card. This card is for creating teams for trainers that are of a higher level, hence being in a gym leader, elite 4 or higher position;

The idea is to use (abuse?) entry hazards like Spikes, Toxic Spikes, and Sticky Web in conjunction with Toxic and Confusion. Imagine switching into Sticky Web and a few stacks of Toxic Spikes only to get hit with Confuse Ray. Then, on top of that, you get slammed with Venoshock when your pokemon is poisoned.

No idea where the battle would actually be held so I am open to suggestions there.

Alts would include: Scolipede, Seviper, and M-Venusaur.

Dual-type gym, but the types are closely related so I think I can get away with it.

Gym is a decommissioned icebreaker vessel permanently tied up at dock. The puzzle section would be the breaking-ice-floor type, in several rooms through the cargo hold, before battling on an open section of the upper deck done up like an open-air gym arena.

Since Lapras is bad on land, if it's one of those games where the gym leaders are active forces in the plot, Alolan Ninetales is the overworld/companion 'mon, while Lapras remains the gym headliner.

If it's a game where HMs are a thing, beating it gives access to Surf.

Fire's my favorite type and I love it when Gym Leaders/Elite Four Members/Champions have starters. I tried to make this mostly an Alolan Team and adding in the very first starter I chose, Torchic.

Since half of the team is physical. I thought Flare Blitz would be a unique TM.

While trying to think of a unique Fire-Themed Location, I thought of an edgy idea, Hell. It would be a bit like Clay's Gym in terms of layout but the puzzle would be drastically different. Eventually reaching the leader at the bottom. (No, none of the trainers or leaders would be devils. That would be way too edgy.)

If HMs were locked behind Gyms in a game with this Gym, you would be able to access Strength after this.

My Gym Leader would be obsessed with Extraterrestrial Pokemon and live in an old RV in the middle of a desert, where meteorites have fallen and made some craters. He'd be a crazy guy and is hellbent on finding Deoxys, but I didn't think he should have one on his team. His gym is an underground base that he built himself, which you enter through the RV. There are a couple of trainers you need to battle that have Sigilyph, Porgon2, Claydol, etc, and they are also alien enthusiasts.
