Smogon ruleset used to be playable in gen 4. As soon as gen 5 dropped, smogon went to shit really quickly. They then had to jump through so many hoops just to make singles work. Also, it's run by pedos these days, so you're better off just not playing pokemon at all.

That's literally impossible to even come close because of the difference in base stats. Sometimes not even 0IVs and EVs in a stat can make it similar to the stat of a different Pokemon.

Been playing Smogon with friends and have to ask, "Which is the best format for fun?"

Does OU seems like the obvious answer, but is there a larger range of usable Pokemon in RU or NU because their are less big threats? I'm just curious. It's been a while sense I played, and now I mostly stick to Random Battles.

I think UU is the best tier, but I also enjoy RU, NU and PU. These tiers also got way better now that the mega/non-mega usage were split. I think UU is in a very good spot right now.
