What happened with the Unova anime that led there to be so much QUALITY?

>repeated cutscenes instead of actual animation
>>
Because BW was a trainwreck in general
>>
XY does the same shit except they are slightly smarter about it and use a different background instead of always the speedlines background.
>>
>>25043193
Which makes all the difference. Having slightly different animation for the same move every time would be pointless, especially across many episodes.
>>
>>25043193
which is exactly how it should be done. BW was just weak on all aspects.
>>
>>25043233
>guise why BW reuse animation! Muh QUALITY!
>oh with its fine to reuse animation with XY why would they make a different one for the same move?

Jesus XY ashnime fags are delirious.
>>
>>25043545
Of course having different animation every time would be ideal, but it's impracticable because animation costs money. The dynamic backgrounds make a move feel unique every time it's used and coherent with what's going on, while cutting to speedlines like every previous series did made battles disjointed. What's so hard to understand about that?

See a doctor about that hook in your lip

a new animation every time isn't really practical.

iron tail recycles the wind up constantly, but at least the impact is always different.
>>
>>25043545
Be careful, kiddies here get triggered when someone says Ashnime.

Why is it?
>>
>>25043612
It's disjointed either way because they're both forced to cut to a different shot when reusing the move. Unless your memeory is so bad you can't remember where the battle is taking place for 2 seconds.

>>25043639
The impact was different in BW too.

Like I said, delirious.
>>
Behead those who insult XY.
>>
Well Gen 5 was kind of shit anyway so you have to take it with a grain of salt
>>
>>25043126
the same problem of all anime in the last years
