Why would I pay money for this? I already own Red and Yellow, and all my GBA needs is a recharge and then it's good to go. If I want a nostalgia hit, I can get it any time I want.

Hell, if my GBA's not available, I can hook up my N64 and play it in Stadium 2.

Game Freak literally can't lose money with this, all they're doing is putting a ROM up for sale at $10 a pop. Maybe they spent a couple hundred dollars of work porting the link cable feature that other emulators could already do to the 3DS, but that's it. Considering the fags that actually plan on paying for all three versions they'll easily make a profit.

Now GO is a different story, but I'm pretty sure everyone with a phone will download it anyway, then it just takes a few dozen whales (which you know Pokémon has since there are people who buy both versions of games when they're released) to make a profit. GO will also probably be a success.

I'm pretty sure the only thing that TPC actually loses money on are obscure spinoffs that don't sell at all like that one Rumble game before they went F2P. And they're going to push GO to the moon so we know it won't be obscure.
