Should I keep this? 31/31/31/31/x/31. I don't want to keep SR'ing but I'm not 100% convinced about how viable a mixed Arceus with low defenses is, but I did want to try out a mixed attacker. Also the stat symmetry between the attacks and defenses is autistically pleasing

I went in wanting Naive with max IV in atk, spatk, speed, Timid with max in spatk, speed, or Jolly with max in atk, speed, each with hp/def/spdef within the 26-31 range of IVs.

So I'm conflicted because getting 5IV on a mixed attacker takes forever, yet the maxed IV is in the wrong defense respective to the nature. But in the end both defenses are low with maxed HP. I was leaning more towards a mixed attacker than specialized, but not too much more.

Not counting legendary dogs, Arcanine still has an awesome movepool and versatility with bulky and offensive variants. Stoutland however is a surprisingly powerful attacker with three great abilities. Granbull's Fairy typing and access to Intimidate have elevated it and Mega Manectric is good on VoltTurn teams. Houndoom is OK, Mega not shit but underwhelming.

Persian sucks. Purugly is a decent bulky sweeper with some support and Liepard has Prankster, allowing it to play support reasonably well despite its frailty. Mienshao is a reasonably strong hit and run mon with either Regenerator to supplement use of Life Orb or raw power with Reckless. Meowstic-F sucks but M has access to Prankster and does well with it, although its movepool and typing mean it has almost no ability to contribute besides that. unless you're going super gimmicky. Pyroar gets STAB Hyper Voice but has an issue where its stats are just too average for it to stand out.

Bird has lots of options. Talonflame is stupid as fuck. Staraptor loses priority and immunity to burn but takes less pebble damage, hits significantly harder. Skarmory is still annoying. Xatu can Magic Bounce although its low stats mainly make it a weaker Espeon. Mandibuzz is incredibly bulky and gets Defog. M-Altaria is surprisingly strong with a huge variety of sets. M-Pidgeot is powerful but simplistic and requires support.

There was once a general known as /wfg/. It was a wondrous place anyone could join and meet new friends. But there were some that felt this open space was their personal safe space from triggers. They got very angry if you didn't adhere to the limitations of the in-game breeding mechanics. However, Gamefreak made it impossible to breed anything competitive, so there was a tense peace and acceptance of IV-fixing pokemon with only minor scuffles.

Then gen6 came along and Gamefreak let you retain up to 5 IVs in offspring! Everyone rejoiced. "Now we can breed our competitive pokemon", they said. There was just one problem. It took DAYS to breed something competitive. When you finally got something usable, it still took hours to breed another. If you had two perfect parents, you still only had a (1/5 +1/32 = 23%) chance of producing a competitive offspring. Even worse, if you forgot an egg move, or the nature, or ball, you had to start over and breed your competitive mon with a shitmon!

So, /wfg/ became a vibrant marketplace of exchange. Each 5iv became incredibly valuable! Even the leftovers were valuable as they could be harvested for nature, egg move, or even ball!

This peace lasted only a few months. After a lot of please understanding by Nintendo, pokebank was released! /wfg/ was furious! The hacks of the previous generation flooded in. People could hack a 6iv ditto and breed a competitive in just a mere few hours rather than wasting days cycling back and forth and hitting that stupid lamppost over and over! The value of their precious 5ivs plummeted! Even worse, they had to check the authenticity of EVERY traded pokemon to maintain purity!

So the autistic bullies made a BLACKLIST they kept in the OP of anyone who posted using their ID requesting a 6iv ditto, even if it was in another thread. They had monitors that cataloged everyone trading and excluded them from their safe space of /wfg/.

People had to pretend to be nice or the bullies would force them out with shitposting and harassment. New people would have their 3DS friend code googled and their posts on reddit and other forums would be crossposted here and they would be doxed/harassed! It became a shithole overnight!

Then something wondrous occurred. Injections came to the 3DS. Now anyone who wanted a pokemon could make one in a few minutes. It fixed Gamefreaks built-in bicycle simulator. It made it so that people no longer had to pretend to care about the purity of bytes.

/wfg/ withered overnight. Their precious marketplace collapsed. They were overwhelmed. The bullies went into a civil war. No one could be trusted. "Do you inject? No, you do!" No one was safe. Everyone was a suspect. Injections made perfectly emulated bytes and there is 0% chance of detection if you do it correctly. /wfg/ bullies started eating their own. If you vocalized that their witch hunt was silly, you were an enemy. They were out of blood. Their safe space was all they had left. They couldn't just migrate to a forum for autists that insists on pure-breeding. No, they needed the free exchange of an anonymous web forum to maintain their arbitrary safe space.

Now all that remains are the hardened souls of the bicycle simulators still keeping their eternal watch over byte purity. They stand guard protecting the safe space from anyone new who even utters a request that could be construed as accepting of injections.

There is only one way to save /wfg/. The safe space must be liberated. All must be welcome again. Injections and bicycle bytes must live in harmony once more.

Politoad is the best. Starmie could simply because no one expects Starmie to use Rain Dance, they expect it to come in and hit them with something super effective, so you could force a switch and then Rain Dance, but it'll only work once, for 4 turns unless you give it the Damp Rock and then it really is just too much of a waste.

My Rain Dance team knowledge is fairly limited but IIRC Azelf and Crobat used to be popular for it because they can get Rain Dance and Taunt. Taunt to stop other set-up mons, Dance, then either U-Turn out/risk Hypnosis with Crobat/hit them with the good offensive stats Crobat and Azelf have.

Singles is faster. Doubles and triples are easier because the chance of the AI stumbling into some team synergy is lower so if you're having trouble reaching 7BP per battle it might be more profitable.

I bought Y to get back into the series and this game has gotten so hand holdy its annoying. And playwise its a real dud too, fighting team flare feels like jessie and james in the series. The champion blows, characters that aren't memorable [see Malva even though you see her every other town]. Sad they got rid of the battle frontier.

Jesus. None of those. But if you had to pick one of them, Rayquaza. Hit extremely hard with Dragon Ascents and then when something comes in to take advantage of the defense drops you drop a Tailwind and don't look back.
