I unironically and truthfully like all of them equally. Blaziken was the first I ever picked because I thought it was the coolest Pokemon, ever made.
I grew to like Swamperts design and after playing through my friends Emerald when he gave it to me as a present when he left for the military. Spent hours on it with him and two other friends sharing it over a single GBA.
I ended up liking Sceptile after a Blaze Black 2 playthrough. He was part of my main team and was absolutely wrecking shit with Acrobatics.

Mega Sceptile>Mega Blaziken>Mega Swampert IMO. But I think I'll go with Blaziken, bara Swampert seems to fit Brendans passive-aggressive style.

Don't restrict yourself to gen 3 only. I still remember playing R/S/E the first time around, and I didn't like it because you basically got no fucking good pokemon until halfway through the game at least. Restricting yourself to gen 3 only will make it even worse.
