I think the name is going to be Delta Emerald Z or Zeta Emerald. I feel Gamefreak is gonna make a combination game for kalos/hoenn to be completely unexpected just like they did with black/white 2. No battle froniter but hinting at in the future and episode Delta with Delta Emerald trademarked just hints too much at the third game in a generation being remade for the first time. With the fact that this gen has only one more placeholder for a game after ORAS (last i checked this is true from datamining X/Y), I think the combination game is most plausible.

The Sundial apparently has some connection to the Mega evolution, and if we are to believe that Ultimate Weapon did create Mega Stones and Deoxys and that that's where the origins for Infinity Energy come from, and also that Team E and this team here is Devon Corp., was that them looking into expanding and further developing the technology?
They might have also been looking for the Ultimate Weapon trying to reverse engineer Infinity Energy to its earliest and purest form and simply mistook the Sundial for it.

I really hope GameFreak doesn't drop the ball on this like they did on Original Dragon.

There are two moves in all Gen VI games that cannot be learned by any known Pokemon by any known method. They are Thousand Arrows and Thousand Waves, and both are basically souped-up versions of Land's Wrath. When used in battle, their animations consist of a dazzling spray of what are clearly Zygarde's scales.
It's possible that those moves will be used to activate Zygarde's Mega Evolution, just like how Dragon Ascent is what allows Rayquaza to reach the pinnacle of its evolution. Of course, that just brings up another question.
