>Why does Pixiv have all the good shit?
Maybe japanese artists feel closer to that franchise, given that it is their domestic produce?
DeviantARTlets are capable of producing something decent once in a while, but dA's 'good stuff' is seemingly limited to box art Pokemon and 1-st generation.
Which leaves me with a pic-save ratio of 1 to 5 for dA VS Pixiv as far as Gardevoir and Gallade are concerned.
>Still no name.
>>19871124
Other - though of limited relevance - matter is that Pixiv's tag system and user-driven willingness to enforce it makes it much easier to find fanart whereas deviantART (especially) and Tumblr discourage searching for new content.
>>19871124
Japanese artists are usually better than western artists anyway, regardless of the subject matter
Not really sure why, but I'm going to guess it's because Japan has a lot more basement dwellers, enough to warrant a wikipedia article
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hikikomori
There needs to be more non-waifu gardevoir. It seems like all you find is cheery and cutesy shit.
It's one of the most powerful psychics in the game, why does everyone seem to think it'd behave like a submissive teenager?
>>19871169
k
>>19871196

>>19871169
Because this is how quite a lot of this fandom has been since its inception.
The only remedy would be to make some new content which takes this notion into account, but generally sitting on ones hands and complaining until someone else fixes it is the preferred method of problem solving.
>>19871213

Aaaand that's it, see you later.
>>19871245
Maybe start with something loose just to keep you drawing?
When I drew stuff like pic related I had to make a whole reference and design sheet before making even a single dot on the final image - otherwise I would be discouraged as well.
>>19871264
Well you're welcome to it, I prefer my gardevoir mysterious and powerful, not some clueless bimbo
>>19871268
See, I can't even doodle without criticizing my stuff, at least when drawing living beings.
You drew that though? That's incredible.
>>19871286
>See, I can't even doodle without criticizing my stuff, at least when drawing living beings.
Maybe practice with a character that you wouldn't care if it got fucked over? For some time I felt that I'd be butchering IPs through trying to draw fanart of them, so I decided to breach this barrier with a character that was considered to be a pathetic encroachment within the franchise it belonged to.
>>19871286
Discounting the exaggeration, that's still implying cute things can't be powerful
>>19871327
Maybe Anon rather meant "not being depicted as a moe blob with a facial expression most commonly seen on blow-up dolls".
>>19871308
hm... maybe I could try that.
Now I just have to work up the desire to actually bother with my digital stuff instead of just using a shitty pencil
>>19871327
Not at all, I just pathologically hate the weak, submissive, childlike demeanors that are most often displayed. To me it's blatant waifuism. You don't like the pokemon, you just like to fantasize about it. Not sayign that is the case for all you guys, that's just how it comes off to me

Initially an ambiguously representative form in the shape of a knights helmet as well as hair. However this subtle design element was too often overlooked so they just went fuck it and created Gallade to emphasize those subtelties already in the line.

Cool beans
I have a stupid question that has been nagging me today.
Are there fanarts that pair Gardevoir and Gardevoir 2.0 - Gothitelle - together?
My Gallade folder is full of images that depict Gallade alongside Bisharp and it seems to be a fairly popular theme among japanese artists to the point that there are several fan-made comics and comic series using this pair extensively and I wondered if there is Gardevoir-Gothitelle variant of it.
>>19888592
>she
>>19888592
Oh boy, here we go.
>why do people draw gardevoir with tits
Because on some level they are aware that Gardevoir by itself isn't fappable and thus depictions of it are equipped with everything that can bridge this fetish gap.
>>19888141
>>19887594
Hey, whoa. Gardevoir has no right to be depressed to the point of a drug binge. That should be it's brother, Gallade since he's always getting neglected.
>>19888798
>That should be it's brother, Gallade since he's always getting neglected.
I'd rather have a Gallade that keeps smiling. It is enough that his fandom feels miserable, no need to push it onto the Pokemon in question.
>>19889071
I always took Gallade for a no-nonsense badass, but that is fucking adorable.
Mega-Gallade with Stance Change when?
>>19889071
>tfw when no mega gallade
A question comes to mind you think in the remakes will swap out his trapdevoir for gallade?
>>19889553
>not wanting both
>not wanting Wally to have two Pokebros
Pleb.
>>19889606
>two megas in the same team
>>19889606
This. So much.
>>19889354
As far as official merchandise and advertising goes, it is rather common to depict Gallade as a sympathetic being. No idea why - maybe to balance out the metric shittons of such 'stare blankly into horizon, snap at the slightest sign of cheerfulness within one mile radius' blade-wielding heroes?
>>19889606
If it's a remake why would they add an extra pokemon to his team?
>>19889638
I think that anon meant "why replace Wally's male Gardevoir with Gallade when giving him both would be a better option?" - there was no mention of megas in that post.
I myself suspect that the earliest chance for a Mega Gallade will be somewhere in late stages of sixth gen, be it Z or Sinnoh remake.
>>19889508
Something like this? I can't see it being used over Aegislash honestly.
>>19889749
>remake
Do we know yet? It might as well be a sequel, given that both of villains were spared.
>>19889795
>Sinnoh
>not johto
pleb
>>19889808
Well, crap. It is going to be hard to make Gallade viable without ridiculously broken abilities.
>>19889821
>Do we know yet? It might as well be a sequel, given that both of villains were spared.
They have been confirmed to be remakes multiple times over, otherwise we'd have new villains, even considering Maxie and Archie still being alive by the end of the originals.
>>19889832
Sinnoh remake would make more sense in this gen, given that RSE, DPPt and XY(Z) all have the 'Let's make this world a better place to live by destroying it utterly!' storyline.
Also, Johto has received a remake in gen4 so I doubt that we will be seeing it remade prior to gen7.
>>19889962
Since ORAS was announced a new pattern was found: The remakes are all connected to the number 2 somehow.
>3-2=1
>4-2=2 (4/2=2 as well, not to mention the square root of 4 is 2)
>6/2=3
I think we can see Sinnoh remakes as soon as Gen 8.
Alternately, since GBA, there's been remakes every new Nintendo handheld, barring upgrades of old ones such as the Game Boy Micro and the DSi.
>>19890129
I admit that my "Sinnoh remakes confirmed" was an asspull, but I don't think that such mathematical patterns should be trusted either - ultimately nearly everything that GF plans in advance is engineered towards extending the life of this franchise rather than catering to M-muh canon! M-muh patterns! kind of people.
With Mega evos a lot of previous assumptions regarding 'unshakable' canonical foundations has been thrown out of the window. People expected RSE to be remade in gen-5 because this is what pattern suggested, but GF simply postponed it until late 2014 to promote new platform and new uplift.

>>19897914

Not sure why this would need to be exactly bad - this is sort of like "Blaziken needs its speedboost to not be a shitmon".
GF would have to either revamp physical psychics and boost their psychic movepools or go with the flow and retcon Gallade to Fairy/Fighting to improve the regular one.

None yet. As far as anything Gardevoir/Gallade related goes, only the comics of Sougetsu get translated.
I don't have samples of that one either, as I seldom save anything that has chest-tumor Gardevoir on it - but these are definitely worth checking out.

Pretty much agreed.

And if I had a Gardevoir to care for, I'd have a hard time comparing him/her to a dog or horse or some other animal companion.
