Up to level 60, it can break disguise and then leave it on yellow with the two other hits.

Hey /vp/ I've been playing Pokemon since red and blue and I've never run into a shiny before aside from the occasional shiny hatched egg. While attempting to Ally chain for a shiny Turtonator I ran into this guy. Nearly shit myself.

I was in like.. idk 5th grade? Pokemon was still kinda a new(ish) thing. Shinies were definitely a new thing so I had no idea. It was the first hoothoot I saw. I thought that was just how they looked normally until I saw more of them that werent shiny. Spent all day at school the next day telling kids I saw a special Hoothoot and all that.
They didn't believe me. I was the "my dad works at nintendo" kid at this point because everyone thought I was lying.

I've been following Gen 7 as soon as it was announced, I really like the type combinations and designs of a handful of pokemon and the Alola forms are a neat way to reinvent old pokemon.
That being said, I have yet to purchase the game due to claims of extreme handholding and an enormous amount of cutscenes that slow down the gameplay. Are these claims valid and if so is it still worth buying?

The cutscenes are really only bad in the first island, it's like a solid thirty minutes before you can get your starter. After saving Nebby, save the game, or you'll have to repeat the whole fucking thing over again.
My only gripes with the game are the awful festival plaza and terrible fishing changes. What were they thinking? Other than that this game is great. Keep exp share off and play on battle mode set and the game is actually pretty challenging, compared to previous games at least.

Unless you battle every trainer and catch/faint most, if not every, wild encounter, then you will end up underleveled with it off. The pacing is weird from pre-league to when you fight them, I guess there's a jump.
Personally, I keep it off until I notice that I'm underleveled, then after my team gets back up to par, I switch it off again.
