Capcom sort of went down this route already in XX, spoiling for those who don't want to know.

The final boss' armorset is the defacto clown skeleton armorset because it has 15 SLOTS and comes with 2 skills, charm up and skill +2. The latter, self explanatory, gives +2 points to whatever skills are on your set, and charm up DOUBLES the skills on your charm, including decorations. So if you have a +4 Sharpness +5 Spirit OOO charm, that's Razor Sharp and +16 points for Challenger +2 with a Spirit LV2 Jewel

There's still a good chunk of raw backing it up despite being stuck on Green (x1.05). Though it's only like +15 true raw on that, Bludgeoner still gives it a reasonable boost. Tigrex, Grimclaw, and Hellblade hammers at the endgame are hard to turn down though by virtue of innate white with good raw, something you can maintain indefinitely with Absolute Readiness.

To be fair, the balance is supposedly really, really, really good in MHXX, where there's no best weapon. At first glance, it would be the Mantis weapons, but they get outmatched once you start playing to abuse the monsters' elemental weaknesses or taking advantage of affinity and affinity/critical boosting skills.

I loved Monster Hunter playing it on the ps4 with some friends way back.
I got a strange flashback of it earlier while playing horizon:zero dawn and seeing two large monsters clip through each other and spam their attacks with no interruption, reminded me of doing the dual plesioth hunts, heh... Man for a game I could point out so many flaws in I still really loved Monster Hunter.

Virtually nonexistent. Nintendo now completely own the handheld market, and their hardware is always underpowered, which means the development team doesn't have to meet the same graphical standards they would have to if developing on the PS4. It saves money, and probably sells a bit more.

I was considering brave, but the "revving up" phase shooting brave arrows at monsters just kills my boner. Feels like the time I waste setting up my brave state could have been used to poison, para and KO the damn thing with guild. Also I have no way to know what I can and can't dodge with brave. This candle sniffing fuckfence right here can land 90% of its attacks right through my parries no problem, but massively hard-hitting attacks like its burrowing strike can be parried a-o-kay
