I think SMT IV had a great concept going and it worked well in some places, but fell flat in others. The lack of random encounters and the increased emphasis on exploration and having a big, interconnected landscape to explore make it very fun to just run around, and the dungeons almost seamlessly fit in with the overworld. Midtown wasn't an awkward series of square corridors, it was a ruined office with upturned desks and chairs serving as the walls with demons hiding in the cubicles. The problem was that you get to areas like Kagome Tower and Lucifer Palace that scream, "it's dungeon crawling time nigga" and they feel blatantly unfinished. If each dungeon had 1-2 more floors added to it, the game would feel so much better.

I'm very wary about P5 overdoing the stealth aspect, at least until we see exactly what's up with it, but I'm glad to hear Hashino emphasizing that they'll be playing up the thief motif in the dungeons with various gimmicks, traps, puzzles, etc. I just hope they aren't way too short and end with a "please go to our shit randomized dungeons for length" notice.

That's because the persona 3 group at large is useless, even in their own game. MC literally carried the entire SEES group to the end. If he had better friends they might have been able to do more than just erect a fancy door.

Persona 3s cast was like some kind of inverse version of Persona 2s cast. Tatsuya was a useless shit that kept fucking everything up and everyone else had to pick up the slack. MC was an overly capable messiah while everyone else was a useless shit that kept fucking up.

And in the end the only one that decided to stop fucking up was the robot.

shadows are inherently shapeshifters. Just what form they take is usually influenced by whatever humans are nearby at the time.

Teddie, as a shadow who gained an ego, wanted to get closer to humans. First he took a form he thought humans would find appealing (cute mascot), and once he understood humans a bit better he took the form of one himself.

Nope. You collect cards with shipgirls on them. I think they have affection meter like in Valkyrie Crusade.
Every card has special login/defeat/whatever dialogue. Marrying them makes them stronger and the card changes slightly. You can marry one ship for free, if you want to be a dirty cheater, you have to pay. Pic related is the most often married ship from what I remember.

Depends on what you mean. You get random cards by defeating enemies, so if it's the element of surprise you like, then that should work. If you just like to open new packs, then nope.
You should try Valkyrie Crusade. It's not the same as Kancolle but maybe it will get you into games like that. And it's in English.
